Marinette's POV

"OMG! I can't belive your birthday is today!! And you chose me to plan it!!" My friend Alya squealed while jumping up and down on my bed

"You know for a royal, you sure do act very peppy" I giggled at my very bubbly friend

"Well I'm planning my best friends birthday party!! Who wouldn't be excited??" She squealed again already flipping through her phone for ideas "How does a ladybug themed party sound??" She asked me

"It sounds amazing!" I said throwing my hands into the air

"Eeeeeee! I can't wait to plan this party, I promise this is gonna be the best birthday you've ever had EVER!!" Alya said jumping off my bed and running towards the door "I'll see you later okay?"

"Okay! Bye! And remember, it's asked masquerade party!" I said waving, she nodded vigourously and waved back running out the door, I chuckled at her excitement and axiety, it's fun to have a friend like her around. I got up off my bed and walked over to my balcony looking over my beloved city Paris

"Party starts in a few hours, I should go find something to wear" I said walking back inside being greeted by my Cat, Tikki

"Wanna help me choose my dress Tikki?" I asked her ,she meowed happily and jumped down from my bed and over to my cupboard

"I'm guessing that's a yes" I giggled opening my gigantic closet to a very, very,wide assortment of gowns.

I raised an eyebrow and looked down at Tikki who covered her eyes with her paw and fell onto her side

"I agree with you Tikki" I giggled looking over all of my dresses "How many of them do I have?" Tikki then started to meow multiple times

"Okay okay, I get it" I laughed "Well it is a ladybug themed party, so I should find something ladybug themed" I looked through all of my gowns until I found a certain gown, it was red with black polka dots and it had a black ribbon around the torso of it that had a ladybug charm, it was knee length and it had black frills on the bottom, it was the kind of dresses in which the top hooks on around you neck with a heart space in the middle part of my chest

"So? What do you think?" I asked Tikki, she meowed happily , I giggled and nodded "This one it is then!"

...... a few minutes later ........

Marinette's POV

I waked downstairs to see how everything was going, I stopped to look at everything at the tip of the staircase, everything was beautiful, there were banners and streamers everywhere, along with a long carpet and balloons, there was a giant chandelier that shone different coloured lights and a large assortment of food on separated tables. I looked down to see Alya directing people to certain places

"Alya your crazy!" I shouted to her laughing

"It's just business Marinette!" She said twirling the pencil in her hand and giggling , I shook my head and smiled at my friend

"Oh, and I left a present for you on your dresser!" She said

"Okay thanks!" I said walking towards and into my room and over to my dresser see in a red case with a small card

I chuckled and opened the box gasping, there was a beautiful red mask with black polka dots that was covered in sparkles, there were also small gems on it.
