"Hello everyone! This is Donny Vermillion live, here on Korhal. Tonight, reports have been coming in that the outlaw, Raynor, has stolen a potentially hazardous artifact from our soldiers! Let's go down to Kate whose live on Mar Sara," announced Donny
"Thanks Donny," started Kate, "Raynor is surely opening his focus to many targets now. Emperor Mengsk said earlier today," as the scene changed to a press conference with Mengsk.
"There is no telling what might happen because of these dangerous artifacts. Anyone found in possession of them with be dealt with the fullest extent of the law!" Mengsk decreed.
"Look on the bright side, Jimmy. You're now a wanted man either way," joked Tychus.
"Why yes! I suppose," said Raynor
"Truly shocking, Kate! I believe the civilian casualties must've been terribly high, due to the murderous group of James Raynor," said Donny.
"Well not exactly. Most of the deaths were caused by overzealous Domin-," Kate replied before cut off.
"Well there you have it! James Raynor killing innocent women and children. This is Donny Vermillion, and I'll see you next time on UNN," ended Donny.

"Just turn off the damn TV, Tychus!"
Raynor was irritated by the news channel, and had no idea why Tychus loved their sarcasm.
Tychus looked at Jim's Marshal Badge. He smiled and said,"Well I bet the Magistrate didn't know he was hiring a Confederate rebel."
"Well I kept it nice and cool, whenever I was around. Didn't have to shoot a single man for his crimes," replied Jim.
"Well then where's the fun in that?" asked Tychus.
"Just shut up, Tychus," Raynor was getting annoyed by the abnormal questions he'd usually ask.
"You still serious about the Zerg being hard and what not, and let's go on a small hunt after this is all over?" Tychus bragged.
"Knock yourself out, I've had enough Zerg to kill for two lifetimes."
They needed start their escape soon. Any delay might ruin their chances of pulling it off, the Dominion wouldn't let this go too easily. Some sentries reported that they some unusual movement, but they didn't want to risk any further investigation.
"Well let's suit up, and-" Raynor was interrupted by alarms going off.
"WARNING! Zerg bio-signatures detected in proximity. Dominion forces are retreating to the Mar Saran orbit. Caution is advised in evacuation procedure," Adjudant informed while showing Raynor and Tychus a visual of everything.
"Are you damn serious! Everyone, to your stations, man the bunkers, ASAP. We must hold our bastion!" barked Raynor to every man in his army.
This was the least expected thing to occur. Why the hell did the Zerg return, after 4 years of no war? Did the artifact trigger something? Raynor& Co. had no idea.
But if he could keep those bunkers equipped with men, and an SCV to repair it, they might just pull it off. The Zerg were massing, and soon, the whole planet would be infested with them critters.
"This is gonna be a nice farm for me," muttered Tychus.
"Trust me, you don't know what it's like," said Raynor.

A base was established in front of Backwater, the same place where the Raiders destroyed the Dominion HQ. Raynor needed 2 forces to ensure their survival. One for the defense of their base, and another force, that was in charge of destroying any spawning pools or creatures. They now had missile turrets which would allow them to keep the skies clear, thanks to Swann, the lead engineer and weapon specialist of the Hyperion.

And so it began, Raynor did everything that he'd planned, though it was as is something wasn't right. The Raiders destroyed some primary hatcheries, they even managed to recover several Dominion troops. They were that scared that they eagerly joined forces with their enemy.
"Hold the line, first platoon!" Raynor commanded his mobile force to concentrate firepower on their defense.
Spores were literally raining from the skies, bringing hundreds of treacherous bugs. Raynor had to hold on until the Hyperion arrived.
Suddenly 6 Nydus worms burst out in heart of their base, the worms were going to obliterate their line if not got rid of. But with the organisation of Raynor's troops, they were not a problem to be reckoned with.
Mutalisks were now pouring from their flanks, missile turrets were blazing projectiles out of their pods. They just had to hold on a few minutes longer for the warp in of the Hyperion.
"Commander! This is Admiral Matt Horner of the Hyperion. Just hold on we are entering the stratosphere," Horner said over the radio.
The Raiders abandoned the bridge and held the Zerg at the bridge's mouth. But then their hope came, the Hyperion. It was like the light from obscure darkness. All guns blazing with its 3 Yamato Class Cannons, more than 15 flak turrets, and it's 20 Atlas Class lazer sentries. It was a true remedy for the Raynor's boys.

"Cavalry's arrived, Sir! Let's get you guys outta this hole," Horner said over the Raider comms.
Never had Raynor had seen anything so pleasing, except the time when he first saw Sarah. "About time, Matt! Get in the ship, leave all posts, and stop playing chicken shoot, Tychus!" Raynor commanded.
"Aww man, I was havin so much fun," Tychus mumbled, "Alright... Fine."
Raiders abandoned their base, with every single man loaded on the Hyperion safely, 350 men that was and the artifact.

The Hyperion was taking heavy fire, it would've been destroyed if Swann hadn't installed those Aegis Deflectors.
"Prepare for lift off!" cried Horner as Raynor and Tychus entered the bridge of the goliath battlecruiser.
"Welcome aboard, sir and his unusually, big companion," he welcomed, "We are taking heavy fire and need to initiate warp sequence."
Tychus sneered at Matt's compliment, but Raynor stepped forth and said,"Good to see you too, Matt! But now's no time to catch up. First we need to leave this place.
Matt grunted, "Divert primary energy flow towards forward firepower! Activate the hyper-drive."
There were literally thousands of Zerg around them. Every second in Matt Horner's plan on getting the Hyperion to safety would count. Mutalisks were swarming, and were close to breaching the hull.
"Hyper-drive is fully charged. Shields at 17%. Engine failure imminent," Adjudant decreed.
"Everyone! Hold on, this is gonna get rough! Adjudant, prepare to warp on my mark," Matt shouted.
Matt waited until the forward guns cleared the ship's line of sight. Then he saw the light. "MARK!" he cried.
Tychus moaned, "Ah shite," as the ship accelerated to light speed.
The Hyperion was safe from destruction. But Tychus still suffered from the experience of a dimension shift. He nearly vomited on Matt's priceless bridge, and Matt would've murdered him for that.
"Alright, we are a fair distance away from any planetary orbit, because I don't wanna risk being close to any planet on the rim of the sector," Matt said.
"But why so scared, Matthew? Wait, don't tell me the same is happening to the other worlds in the sector," Raynor said seriously.
"I'm afraid, sir, you're right... And you have to see this, now."
Admiral Horner turned on a monitor to reveal a live coverage of other planets by news channels.
"Zerg are surrounding the world of Haven! Millions of people have been reported missing or dead," said a reporter.
"We are live in a fight against the Zerg, only the Dominion can save-," said another reporter before a nydus worm burst out of the ground and ate him.
For the next five minutes, the coverage showed places devastated by Zerg abominations. Then the last channel that reported was the hated UNN.
"This is Kate Lockwell live on Korhal. Over the week, more than 8 billion have died throughout the sector. Korhal is safe and is planning to push back the Zerg out of the Koprulu Sector. Soldiers had fought gallantly, yet the Zerg numbers destroyed them, our respect to the fallen," Kate sobbed, "And we've seen their leader, relentlessly fighting us. The Queen of Blades has returned..."
Raynor had a chill through his back, "Sarah..."
"Holy cow, I'm sorry Jim, I never knew," Tychus said.
"But why would she be back?" Matt asked Raynor.
Raynor looked up and cursed. He said in a low voice, "She's come to finish the job."
