Chapter 10 ~ Training

Reznick walks up to our group, which means she is our trainer. Now if I do something wrong or mess up I'm going to cop it. She already hates me.

First she takes us up to knife throwing, she shows us how to hold the knife and how to stand properly. After she shows us she says "alright now let's see what you can do" We have to go one by one throwing five knives at a target about 10 metres away. "So who wants to go first?" Vanessa yells out "I do" and she winks at Ben when she walks up to the spot where she has to throw from. The way she stands is wrong, and the way she holds the knife is certainly wrong. I have to try so hard not to laugh when she actually throws the knife. It misses the target by a metre, she throws the other 4 and they are just as bad. Everyone lets out a little chuckle, Vanessa says "stop laughing its not my fault that the knives are faulty" if course I have to open my big mouth and say "the knives aren't faulty, it's just the way you do it is faulty. Here let me show you." I go up to the target and yank the knives out. I walk towards where I have to stand, and turn around to Vanessa and say "this is how you throw some knives" I throw all five with incredible speed, I look at the target and see three landed on the bullseye, and the other two are a centimetre off the bullseye. I fake smile at Vanessa and she just growls, and I laugh. 'Now look who's jealous I think to myself.'

Training is just more running, knife throwing, shooting and some more running. I'm just about to throw another knife when I hear, "start heading down to the lunch room for lunch" finally we can actually eat. I go the opposite way, and head to our room to put my jacket away. I open the door, and am shocked with what I see. Ben and Vanessa are there kissing.
