Tobias~
Tris, Say and I are all inside the house. It was unlocked and no body guards around. I'm watching Tris as she tip toes down hallways with Zay in her arms. I'm lost in my thoughts about how she is an amazing mother, even if she doesn't think she is.
"Tobias, are you ok?" She pulls me back down to earth. I turn on my instructor brain and turn stiff.
"Yes, let's move." Tris comes back to me at the door and we let the others inside.
"Ok, so no one is around, probably looking for us. The door is somewhere here but it was hard to tell where on the screen. I think it's behind Zay's bedroom." Tris says confidently.
"So how are we going to open a door without a handle or even see it in the first place?" Cara asks. She seems to have lost a bit of her intellectual brain since we've been here. I'm happy she doesn't speak like those smart freaks anymore, though.
"It has to be attached to the wall with the window." I say.
"How do you know?" Cara asks.
"It must be a two-way mirror. You can see yourself, or rather your reflection, but on the other side, people are looking at you."
"You're a genius babe!" Tris shouts.
"I know." I smile and kiss her passionately.
Zeke clears his throat and we pull apart. Tris has a pout on her face. I smile and peck her lips again.
"We can finish later." As if on que, my lovely son decides to wake up and cry.
"Shhhhhh, it's not ok, Zay, but mummy's here. Mummy's here." Tris coos. She walks into the kitchen.
"Half of us should go up there and look for the door, the other half grab supplies and anything we might need." Evelyn says.
I go into the kitchen to check on Tris. Zay is just sobbing now and Tris lightly kisses the top of his head.
"You're getting better already." I say.
It startles her but she recognises my voice. "We have to gather supplies and then head upstairs to help unlock the door, or find it."
Tris laughs and hands Zay to me. "Hey little man! You have to go to sleep now if you want to get out of here, ok?"
Zay yawns and his eye lids cover his amazing eyes. "That's my boy!" I whisper and kiss his cheek.
I join Tris in packing what little food was in here and the knives. We are all up in the nursery in 30 minutes.
"Any luck?" Alba asks walking in from the hallway.
"Not yet, but we're getting close. I can feel it!" Cara shouts straining her voice. She reeeeeeaally wants to get outta here.
"Everyone stand back!" Tris shouts over the banging of fists against the wall and small chatters.
Tris looks up at me, like asking her father a question, and I nod. She knows what she's doing and I trust her.
"Can you break the glass?" Tris asks
"No." Cara says.
"Hmmmmm..." She studies the corners of the wall, where the window is placed, the placement of the dresser against the wall.
Tris walks over to the dresser cautiously and moves it away from the wall. I had to help her since she hasn't been able to exercise much. She gives me a thankful look. I go to stand back in place but she grabs my hand.
"Stay with me."
"I'll never leave." I respond.
One by one, our friends come up behind us and touch our shoulders or arms. They are our support.
This brings her hand up to the window and I thought she would push, but she doesn't. She twists it.
