It's raining today. All the raindrops come down and land on the glass of my school room window. It's a soft, calming rain what leaves your eyelids heavy and your body sleepy. "Psst.. Alyss!!" My eyes shoot open as i stammer to look over to my friend Jane. "Don't fall asleep... Ms. Fridle might look over here an-" Jane gets cut off by Ms. Fridle. "JANE!" Jane's head shoots toward Ms. Fridle. Jane swallows. "Y-yes ma'am?" Jane shutters. "Come to the front of this classroom RIGHT NOW." Jane slowly gets up and does the walk of shame towards Ms. Fridle. Ms. Fridle is a tall woman with short hair which is longer in the front than it is in the back, she also has a mole on her upper right side of her face. Jane is up in the front of the class room. "Since your little conversation with Alyss was so important,"Ms. Fridle says in her loud, annoying voice "why don't you tell us what you two were talking about, huh?" Ms. Fridle takes a seat behind to the left of Jane. Jane has dark brown hair that goes down to about her mid back which is put into a side braid. Jane is wearing her school uniform which is a collared shirt that has the schools logo embroidered onto the left side of her chest. Her pants are slightly baggy. "I-I was only waking up Alyss because she was sleepy from pulling an all nighter at the library plus the rain doesn't he-" Ms. Fridle slams her hand down on the desk. Jane jumps as Ms. Fridle gets all up in her face. "Do you think I'm tired, Jane? Do you?!" Jane avoids eye contact and keeps a poker face. "Yes, ma'am." Jane chokes out of her throat. "I stayed up until 3 in the morning planning this lesson- do you think I'm tired?!" Ms. Fridle yells. "Yes, ma'am." Jane says in a shaky voice, on the verge of tears. "If I can teach a class of 32 students, then I'm sure Alyss can stay awake. Go sit down." Jane shuffles back to her seat as Ms. Fridle goes back to teaching. I look over to Jane as I see a tear roll down her cheek and she's quick to wipe it away. I feel bad for her and I make sure I'm stay alert because I don't want that to happen again. I began to think about random things just to keep myself awake. I look down to see my blank graph notebook paper and I take notes on the math lesson Ms. Fridle is teaching. It's 2:10. Five more minutes until the bell rings and then I can finally get out of this place.
~Le time skip~
The bell ring and people dash out of the class room including me and Jane.
It's the weekend. What could possibly be new.And that's when my black and white world would change.
