It was about 4 in the afternoon when Liana and the rest finally reached the cave.
"So..Here our cave!"Liana said smiling happily.
Soto had a look around the place, trying to find something to possibly steal from Diego...baby steps.
And maybe something from Shira to...she did betray his best bud.
"Nice Home!"he said with fake kindness.
"Thanks!"Liana thanked him.
Soto had another good look around,than realized that there was nothing to steal.
Ellie and Peaches entered the cave.
Ellie than said to Soto:"Ummmm...Soto.Diego and Shira will be back soon,okay?There just busy with the hunt-off.
"Sure thing."he replied."But can you just do me one favor?"
"And what's that?"Peaches asked curiously.
"When my old friend Diego shows up,can you please just leave us alone...just to talk about a few things and catch up on each other's lives and stuff?"
Ellie and Peaches made big smiles and nodded:"Anything for a friend of Diego's."
Liana nodded too:"Yup,anything for a friend of daddy's."
Soto grinned.Diego's daughter is....different from the rest.
She's sarcastic like her father and smart like her mother.She can also be sharp and rude sometimes...but can be so kind most of the time...and Soto hates that!
Just than Diego and Shira walked into the cave mumbling excitedly about the contest.
Liana ran up to her mother and father.
"Mommy,Daddy!How did it go?Did you win?"Liana stormed out.
Diego and Shira smiled at each other.This daughter of them.
"Yes,we won,sweety."Shira said,without her or Diego noticing Soto further back into the cave.
Liana suddenly felt a rush of happiness.
"Haha!That means Beca lost the bet!"
"Yup!Your a winner too!"Diego smiled and hugged her.
Shira than join in the family hug.They really are the perfect family...
Soto coughed nervously, knowing that he had to interrupt this touching(but not so touching for him)moment.
"Ummmmmm sorry to interrupt."Soto began as he looked at the family.
Liana opened her eyes and realized that Soto was still here.
"Oh ya!Mommy!Daddy!I'd like you to meet Soto!"she says pointing at him."He says he's a friend of you daddy."
Diego's eyes winded in anger.His whole body trembled in shock as he herd that name...Soto.
"FRIEND?HE'S EVERYTHING BUT A FRIEND!"Diego yelled angrily."Where did you find him?"
Liana answered:"In the woods when we went for a walk with Aunt Ellie and Cousin Peaches!"
Shira made question marks in her eyes.
"What about Uncle Sid?"she asked confusingly.
"He got paralyzed by a lotus berry. "Liana replied.
Shira rolled her eyes. Sid can't do anything right.
Diego than spoke:"That's not the point right now!Shira,I need you and Liana to go to Manny's tree quick!"
Shira than asked:"What?Why?"
"Please just do it.I'll explain later!"Diego answered.
Than Shira took Liana and exited the cave with Ellie and Peaches,who also admired their family hug.
"You really are the perfect family!I bet you really love each other.
Shira smiled warmly:"You have no idea."
They really loved each other...till the end of time.
Once they were gone,Diego gave a big tiger roar and pinned Soto to the ground.
"Why are you here and how did you survive?!"Diego screamed with a face full of anger at Soto.
Soto grinned and whispered:"I came for YOU!"
Diego narrowed his eyes and Soto spoke up:"After you left me to DIE,a passing saber pack help me.They said I can stay with them for 2 days and that's it.Than I must leave..."
Diego interrupted Soto.
"Ya,Ya!Just get to the point!"he said in a annoyed tone.
Soto grinned again:"Well!You've gotten impatient.Anyway,they kicked me out after two days.
I had to find a new packed and searched ALL AROUND the island...until I came to the shore.There I found a monkey, a rabbit,a kangaroo and a seal...and a few rats.
And guess what..THEY WERE PIRATES!"
Diego felt a sudden rush panic,shock and anger flow through him.
"WHAT?GUTT?!"Diego screamed in anger.
"Ya...And I guess he actually has a vendetta against you and your mate...and guess what,SO DO I!"Said Soto with narrowed eyes and an evil laugh.
Diego growled.
"Soto...your NOT my leader anymore. I have my own herd with a family now!I have everything I've ALWAYS wanted and I'm NOT gonna let you take that away from me!You got that?"
Soto grinned and spoke:"Wow,Diego...You really found love didn't you?You've gone totally SOFT!"
Diego got more angrier by the second.
"I haven't gotten soft!"he screamed.
Soto than said:"Than show me,Diego!Show me your still hardcore!".............
