"Hey Kate, can we talk?" James said on the other side of my door.

I wiped the tears off my face and went into the bathroom. I splashed cold water on my face and dried it.

"About what?" I opened the door.

"The incident between us" he said and rubbed the back of his neck.

"I prefer not to talk about" I said and walked passed him towards the stairs.

"Please Kate just hear me out okay? I didn't want to do it I was drugged" he shouted from the top of the stairs.

"James you're not stupid enough to get drugged" I yelled back.

He ran down the stairs,nearly tripping in the process, and stood right in front of me.

"Please" he begged and looked me in the eyes.

I looked at him and sighed. "Fine"

I sat down on the couch and waited for him to start.

"I had called your sister Julia to come over since she is your sister and should know you well. I told her not to tell anyone because I wanted it to be be a surprise" he spoke.

I looked at him with squinted eyes and furrowed eyebrows.

"We weren't going to do anything wrong, actually, she was going to help me pick out an engagement ring for you" he frowned.

I gasped and looked at him with wide eyes "are-are you serious?" I asked.

"Yes, I am" he laughed.

"She wanted something to drink so I went into the kitchen and that's when you surprised me. I was really happy trust me I was, but I didn't want you to find out about it so I had to lie. But I guess Julia didn't hear you here and she called my name which gave you the wrong idea. I know I said those hurtful things but you got me angry that you actually thought that I would cheat on you" he looked me in the eyes.

I looked down and sighed.

"After you left I went up stairs and sat on the bed and cried. Your sister offered me some water and I accepted it. She seemed really weird though, she was smiling too much. After I drank the water I started feeling really dizzy and I started asking her what she had done to me. She came towards me and we'll you know, started doing as she said "what she's always wanted to do". I was unconscious for most of it though, but when I started to wake up I saw her brown hair and thought it was you and I got happy, I thought that we were finally in the next stage and I could propose to you but when you walked in and I saw the disappointment in your face I immediately knew who it was, so I threw her off me and we'll, I guess you know the rest" he said and looked at the ground.

I was in total shock. First he wanted to propose to me and then my sister wanted to ruin my relationship?

"I'm sorry for all the pain I caused you Kate, I truly am. I was a mess without you! The boys wanted to take me out and I refused every time but when I saw your pictures of you and Neymar on tv I was furious. They asked me to go out with them that night and I agreed. I drank and drank until I didn't even know my own name" he chuckled " then Daniela approached me and started talking to me, I thought she was you since I didn't even know what planet I lived on at that moment. She seduced me and took me here, she did what she wanted to me. The next morning I kicked her out of my house and I have been a wreck ever since. When you Called me I was so happy. And I am the happiest man alive right now with you by my side" he smiled.

"Well technically I'm not 'by your side' 'by your side' but I'm 'by your side as a friend" I smiled.

"Yeah that's what I meant" he fake smiled.

"James" I sighed "I'm just not ready for Relationship ends hurting me deeply. Then I trust someone and they end up hurting me even more. I can't lie to you and say that I want to be with you right now because honestly, I don't want to be with you, Neymar or anyone right now, In a relationship type of way. I'm too hurt and I don't want to risk anything right now"

"I know that and I'm sorry for causing you so much pain but I want to help you. I want to be the shoulder you cry on. I want to be the person who helps you pull through all of this mess" he softly said and pierced his eyes into mine. He slipped my hands into his and smiled.

"Look, I know how it hurts, trust me I do, but for now we can be best friends?" I said as I removed my hands from his and held my pinky out.

"Best friends" he smiled and locked his pinky with mine.

I'm going to teach my bitch of a sister a lesson.

James's P.O.V

I know I should just be happy that I can be best friends with her but I can't, I honestly can't. And I won't stop until she is mine again, no matter what I have to do, she will be mine.
