Isis POV-

"I don't feel like going anywhere tonight baby, I just want to sleep." I pulled the covers over my head.

Yesterday had me totally drained me. My father popping up like a damn jack-in-the-box. My profession of love for Jidenna, love I didn't even know I felt.

Ahhhhhhh! I just wanted to forget it all. Disappear if I could.

"Not taking no for an answer. You been in this bed all day. I been to work and came home. Get up." He slapped my non-existent butt.

"Can't we celebrate another day?" I whined.

"No we're celebrating tonight. Get up." He pulled the covers off of me and scooped me up.

I let out a squeal of laughter as he scooped me in his arms.

"Don't drop me." I eyed him as my legs dangle cover his arms.

"Nigga I lift boxes heavier than you." He sucked his teeth.

I laughed. True.

He carried me to the bathroom. "Get ready." He put me down.

"I don't feel like it babe. How about we just celebrate here." I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a puppy dog face.

"I promise we'll go somewhere chill. Not a lot of people." He pecked my lips.

"Fine." I gave in.

"That's what I thought." He slapped my right thigh with a towel. I hit him equally as hard. That hurtled.

"Damn I your man hand ass." He rubbed his shoulder.

"Get out." I pushed him out and proceeded to take my shower.

I finished up my shower. Then washed my face and brushed my teeth. I did light natural make up. Not too much. Just some BB cream, concealer for under my eyes, and bronzer with a red lip.

I didn't feel like doing a full beat.

I went into his room and put on my clothes. Nothing fancy. Just some black jeans and black tank top.

I fluffed out my natural curls and went to meet Lamar in the living room where he was on the phone talking to his mother

He hung up with her.

"Ain't you forgetting something?" He asked me.

I looked over myself to see what I could've forgot.

He looked at my neck.
