Chapter 004
P.O.V : Shoyo Hinata
It had been a week or so since Tsukishima and I had officially started dating but so far we haven't gotten the luxury of having our first official date yet since he was so busy with work and other personal related businesses, the closest thing we remotely have to a date is spending lunch together at he's workplace which wasn't a long one since the café he worked at was very popular with high school girls and female office workers so they tend to be very busy especially during these times. Today was an odd one since the store was practically empty that meant Tsukishima could be a little bit more flexible with he's work hour but that can all change later throughout the day.
"A date you say?" Tsukishima questioned, placing my order in front of me sitting down his hand on top of mine. "I don't see why not, I am free this Saturday so maybe we could do something fun." Tsukishima suggested, a smile on he's face.
I felt a blush coming on so I turned towards my drink taking a huge sip from the straw trying to hide my embarrassment. Tsukishima was about to say something when the bell by the door rang indicating that a new customers had arrived, he rolled he's eyes before muttering a quick 'see you in a bit' before he left my table to tend to the new customers. A smile tugged on to my lips as I watched him work so diligently, I could honestly watch him work all day I mean it was more due to the uniform he had on but I could never say that out loud, I heard giggling from the table next to mine which pulled me out of my little world to their conversation.
"Did you guys pick up the latest 'Hottest Tea' magazine at the store day?" One girl said, as she pulled out a magazine from her shopping bag.
"Isn't that the magazine that goes around interviewing boys from various schools that are in the sports club or something like that?" One of the girl's friends said, pushing her leftover crumbs around.
"Yeah, yeah that's the one and you'll never guess who they interviewed last month; Kei Tsukishima." The girl from before said, a smirk plastered on her face as she and her other friends all look towards one specific girl at their table. The girl looked up from her phone blushing, laughter filled the table as they teased there friend.
I remember Tsukishima texting me about that interview and how irritated he was cause they were getting all in he's face about he's business, taking picture of him when he was just trying to enjoy a friendly game of volleyball with he's friends. I could see Tsukishima from where I sat; hard at work in the back lifting boxes and putting away stuff from said boxes, I licked my lips as I watched him roll up his sleeves using a handkerchief to dab down he's forehead that was cover in sweat, our eyes met briefly which instantly made me look away hoping he didn't catch me checking him out.
"Wait isn't this guy working here right now?" One of the girls questioned, taking the magazine out of her friends hand so she could better examine it. "The same guy who helped us out that one time? Maki's secret crush?" the girl said, shifting her gaze from the magazine to the girl whose name was Maki.
I felt as my heart sink into the pit of stomach as I listened in on the girls conversation, I glanced over to the girl sitting at the table whose name was Maki and immediately felt intimidated by her as a whole; she was beautiful, she was clearly a girl any normal guy would obsess over and if Tsukishima wasn't with me I am pretty sure he'd pick a girl like her to be he's love I am totally sure of it.
"Hey, are you okay?" One of the girls asked, directing there question to me. "You don't look so hot there buddy." She said, sounding genuinely concerned. I nodded my head with a small smile muttering a small 'thank you' for her concern before getting up from my seat.
