Chapter 17: Yui's jealousy

I looked him in the eyes and looked away.

"Shu-kun, I can't hurt you like this, I'm sorry. I care too much for all of you to hurt just one of you. Please take care of them." I left trying not to cry.

From then on I tried to confront Shu and speak about his current status with blood. Along with his brothers. Within those days Yui seemed more hostile and cold, while Ruki avoided me.

Rai, Natsume and Nero tried their best to get along to make me feel better. It'd been so long since I felt happy. Now tonight was the full moon, I felt more weak than sad. My blood was nearly all out. I felt weak. Right now I was running from being caught once more. Failing by locking myself in his room.

"You realize running is by far one of the most stupidest things I have ever seen you do. I like it." Rai grabbed my wrist and bit down on his father's mark.

"I won't let that man or the excuse of a half brother have you."

I felt pain yes, I hated it. My body hasn't suffered past the amount I have to the extremes of blood loss.

"Rai, in order to surpass me you must target what's mine? How foolish of you, honestly."

"You finally caught up huh? That means-"

"dear brother why must you use my supposed mother to please your needs? You're an idol aren't you?"

"Says the one who attacked first." I pushed him off and backed away. I was panting and looked at them.

"Please don't take anymore... I feel sick as it is."

"Besides, I need to rest..."

"fine, I'm going out."

"I'll come too."

"Go away prick, bye Yuni, if he hurts you tell me ok?" I nodded and laid in my bed as Nero curled up beside me.

"You need a room of your own don't you? If I keep you too myself it'll only hurt you more won't it?" I didn't answer. He lifted my chin to face him.

"Be honest with me, you don't want to stay with me do you? You've always hated it huh? That's why you no longer smile."
I kissed his forehead and smiled.

"It's not that, I just don't feel all too well at the moment. I'm sorry if I worried you." He held me, he was so cold, yet so warm.

"Don't be sad, I'll drop you off back if you want later."

"No, I'm fine really. I'll go when I feel as if you've had enough today. For now I'm fine." I fell asleep in his embrace smiling for the first time in a while.

When I awoke I saw him hugging cuddles and his head resting on my chest. Maybe it is better off this way, I the maid of this family. The reason to their suffering...

Shaking my head I looked out the window. It was currently night. I woke Nero up smiling.

"Sir, I wish to go see my other young masters is that alright?"

"Make it quick."

"I'm walking actually. But it will be." I left and took the basket of fruits and vegetables to make an excuse.

It began to rain. My luck was great. Finding myself in front of a mansion I sighed.

"Worth a try..." I knocked on the door. Yui answered and was about to shut the door.

"Wait. I just need a towel then I'll leave."
"No. Now go."

"Who is it sow?" I saw a tall boy with brown hair.

"Oh hello, is Ruki here?"

"Yes and? Aren't you the girl that tried to kill him?"

"No. Only stab. But before realizing I was hurting an old friend."

"Fine, come in." I did and Yui seemed mad.

"Ruki! Your friend is here!"

"A girl? That's new. Is she a close "friend" Yuma?" A blonde perky one spoke.

"Would you like to cut me?" I was taken aback by a short sad one.

"Four of you... and then the fifth." They were confused until Ruki spoke.

"What do you need?"

"A towel, I promise I won't hurt you, or at least intend to... in all seriousness, I can only remember seeing four boys so happy in an orphanage. All because of that girl... If I could I'd want to know how to see it again. Everyone deserves to smile, even if it only lasts for a second. Besides, in return I can make you food with what I brought. More coincidental don't you think?" I smiled to see a frown still placed.
"Don't worry, one day the berries will bloom, when they do, they'll be the most ripest and sweetest thing you could imagine. So, do we have a deal?" He nodded.

"You can't be serious she-" "Yuma, just get her a towel, quick." After returning with the towel silence broke.

"So who is she?"

"Yuma, who does she remind you of?" He stayed silent and finally hit the wall.

"Don't be stupid she's dead! We all know it!"

"In all reality, be honest with yourself Yuma, He may have done the same to her." He nodded and grabbed my wrist.

"Kou, her eye."

"she's quite honest, I like her. Besides, her eye was lost. It adds up to her being-"

"I don't believe it." Yuma let go of me and was mad.

"I'm not going to believe this until-"
"is he meaning Karl Heinz? I've heard of what he's done. He must have multiple ties then." They were shocked.

"How did you-"
"Oh, well I know because Karl Heinz is the man that caused all of this to happen. Not only to me, but to the ones I loved. So if what you said was true, then you must really be connected to me."

There was a silence. Yui was about to break the silence until I did.

"Well, to be honest it's a full moon, I'll make the food and go. I'm sure you have things to do." After cooking the food they ate as they did, I smiled.

"I'm glad we met once more. It was nice, but before I go, what're your names?"
