Chapter Two The New Job

The rest of the week was boring Hunter never told me why he got into that fight but I dropped it thinking it was a touchy subject.
I'm now at home at 4:26pm waiting for my mom.
      *BEEP BEEP BEEP*
"Hello" I said
"Hello sweetie I was wondering, and thought that maybe you could work at the library, once it's all tidied up. It meant so much to your aunt and has been in the family for years and I can work another job and get more money. What do you say" my mom said in a calm tone with a hint of excitement.

"Uhh mom I don't know I-"

"Oh please honey this would mean so much to me"

I couldn't say no to that I mean come on she's basically begging me. Ok here it goes.

"Alright mom I'll do it"

"Eeeeeeeee oh thank you sweetie you can come down now and help tidy up a bit I thought we could open tomorrow and you could start work the next day" she said it so fast like she had it all planned out in advance. And let's face it knowing my mom she probably did.

"Ok mom I'm coming now bye"

"Bye sweetie"

I grab my bag full of my books from school, I guess I could study while I'm there and my keys and head out the house. As I'm turning the corner before the library I hit someone which knocks me down and my books fall from my bag.
I look up and see Crystal and Hunter.

"Alena I'm so sorry here let me help you" said Hunter

"Hunter you need to watch where you are going"I said in a sassy tone.

"Yeah that's the second one today" Crystal said whilst grabbing my arms and pulling me up.
"So where you headed anyways?"

"Uhh my aunts library, I mean my library no my moms library. Uhh you know what I'm headed to THE library" I said it nervously because of the embarrassment I was still in from falling. In my defence if you fell into someone on the street and your stuff went flying everywhere you would me embarrassed to especially when it's your new best friends twin brother.

"Hey well now I can say you fell for me" Hunter said smirking and handing me my bag.

"Technically I fell because of you" I said slurring my words to sound more dramatic.

"Ok you two enough. So can we come with you to the library"said Crystal

"Uhh I don't know I'm just going there to clean up an-"I was cut off by her casual excited tone.

"We can help you cant we Hunter I mean it's the least we could do since HUNTER knocked you down, what do ya say?" She spoke fast but slow enough for me to understand she also yelled Hunter's name and starred at him when she said it.

"Uh yeah I guess if you guys wanted to"

"Great then it's settled" she said as soon as I finished my sentence. Then starts
walking away.

"Well aren't you guys coming" she said over her shoulder before walking off again.

"Well you heard her lets go. Again I'm really sorry for knocking you over" he said scratching the back of his neck.
