It's Possible... (Subaru x Yui)

~The nights grew longer, and the weather continued to get colder and colder by the minute. It had been months since the three brothers left to look for Ayato and Kanato. Neither of them have returned, and Subaru was starting to worry. With the chance of snowfall during a time like this, any hope left in him would be drained by the coming spring. Yui tried to help comfort him many times, but he stayed locked away in his room to hide from her. She was more worried about him than anyone ever could be, and she was losing her patience.~

Yui: Subaru-kun, please open the door. I want to talk to you. ~She had been knocking on the door every day, repeating the same things and walking away each time without a response.~ Subaru-kun, please...

Subaru: Go away, I've told you countless times to just leave me alone. ~His voice is faintly heard, clearly he doesn't even have to motivation to get up and come to the door.~

Yui: Can I at least come in to check on you? I want to know that you're ok.

Subaru: ~Makes incoherent sounds, as if trying to come up with an excuse before giving in.~ The door's unlocked...

Yui: ~Walks into the room and shuts the door behind her.~ Where...exactly are you?

Subaru: ~Lifts the lid of his coffin slightly to show where he is.~ I'm down here...

Yui: ~Peeks into the coffin and looks at his troubled expression, he's clearly upset about something.~ Subaru-kun, tell me what's wrong.

Subaru: ~Sighs and pushes the lid further to see her better.~ I'm worried...there's going to be a snowstorm coming in, and they're still out there.

Yui: ~Climbs into the coffin with him and lays beside him.~ Listen to me, they'll be fine. They're strong and intelligent, maybe not Laito, but they can handle it on their own. You are also strong and intelligent, so you shouldn't be hiding in your coffin. Not from me, not from your fears, and especially not from world.

Subaru: ~Tears up and begins crying.~ I'm sorry, I'm sorry...~Shakes a bit, causing more sobs to erupt.~

Yui: ~Hugs him and pulls herself closer to him.~ No, I'm sorry...I want you to be happy, but I'll never be enough to make you happy.

Subaru: Wh-what?! ~Grips her shoulders tightly and scowls at her.~ Don't think for a second that you aren't enough. I wouldn't be happy without you Yui! You've done everything for me, and you think I'm not happy?! Yui, you changed my life! Without you I'd still be an empty shell filled with anger and rage.  You changed me, and I'm grateful for that Yui Komori! ~Tries to control his yelling between sobs.~

Yui: ~Stares at him for a few moments before cupping his cheek gently.~ Subaru-kun, I didn't...know that I had changed you so much. ~Wipes away some of his tears.~

Subaru: ~Pulls her closer and keeps her in his grasp.~ Will you sleep in here with me tonight? Please...

Yui: Of course I will. ~Smiles sweetly and kisses both of his cheeks to make him blush.~

Subaru: ~Blushes a light pink and looks at her.~ I don't like it when you do that, it's embarrassing.

Yui: ~Giggles a bit and pokes his chest gently but teasingly.~ I'm just playing around a bit.

Subaru: ~Tips her chin up slightly and kisses her fiercely.~

Yui: ~Blushes darkly, clearly taken aback by the sudden movement.~

Subaru: ~Pulls back after a minute and stares at her expressionless. A hint of a smirk tries to break through the façade.~

Yui: Now you're just teasing me back. ~Fakes a cute pout.~

Subaru: ~Smirks a bit, and kisses her gently again.~

Yui: ~Kisses him back energetically, but keeps the kiss as calm as possible.~

~5 minutes later.~

Subaru/Yui: ~Both pull away panting/blushing a little.~

Subaru: ~Hugs her close and smiles.~ Goodnight Yui.

Yui: ~Smiles a bit and lays her head on his chest as always.~ Goodnight Subaru-kun.

~Winter passed quickly, and Spring rolled in, still the other Sakamaki brothers were left unfound. How much longer will it take before there's no hope left for them? And will Subaru be able to protect Yui when the time comes?~
