One face
Two face
I never saw
Your real face
Did it reside there,
Under layers of paint?
Was there a real face?
Or was it scarred
From years of villainous action,
Taunting words, piercing glares,
Whispered conversations,
Behind closed hands.
Up goes more paint,
Perhaps to cover stinging words,
You had no right to say,
No matter what the context.
More paint slides over,
Another false face
