Text on the screen

Crawls under her skin

Tears splatter the keyboard

She can't keep it within

The hate, the dismay

It's stolen her light

Drained all her strength

She's too tired to fight

The pills on the table

They call out her name

The urge to down them

Is too fierce to tame

But a small, meek voice

Buried deep in her soul

Whispers 'tomorrow will be better'

'You will finally be whole'

So she backs away

And lets the pills be

Anxious for tomorrow

Anxious to be set free

The next day arrives

She's thrown to the floor again

But this time, a hand reaches out

As if they were a friend

She grasps it tight

Is pulled to her feet

Was this what it felt like

To be complete

The stranger, a boy

Offers a smile

Something she hadn't

Seen in a while

"Are you okay?"

He asks, so terribly shy

"I think so,"

Was her tender reply

The two lock their gaze

Each sees a good heart

Yet they don't dare to speak

They don't want to part

A jump to the future

A tux, white dress, and ring

Since that day

They're each other's everything

They dance, they smile

They talk all night

And inside of them both

Burns the brightest light.

A/N: Hey! I didn't upload something super depressing for once! I have two styles of poetry, actually. Heart wrenching sadness, or fluffy romantic. This was a combination of both. Hope you enjoyed!
