"Mom, just leave me alone. I'm so fucking sick of you doing this to me. You're always ruining things for me and I'm done." I yelled through my bedroom door, shoving all of my clothes into suitcases and grabbing toiletries, my laptop, chargers, my iPhone, shoes, makeup, and pretty much everything I could grab. "Kat, cant we talk about this?" my mother asked in her most calm voice, placing her hand on my shoulder as I walked out of my room with my 6 bags. "Mother, there's nothing to talk about. What's done is done." I growled, swatting her hand away and grabbing my two cats, Sailor and Marie before putting them in their pet carriers. "Sweetie, you don't need to do this." my mother insisted, tears threatening to spill over. "I'm sick of living with some woman who doesn't even respect me. You slept with my fucking boyfriend for God's sake! The worst part is, it's not even the first time you've done something like this. I've given you so may chances, but no, you are just a screw-up mom. And I'm done with you." I shouted before slamming the front door behind me. I had already called my best friend Trace, and he agreed to letting me move in with him until I found my own place. I shoved my bags in the trunk of my car and put Sailor and Marie's pet carrier's in the passenger seat. When I arrived at Trace's house, I saw him sitting on the curb to the sidewalk. I quickly unloaded my bags and rushed over to Trace to give him huge hug. "Thank you so much for letting me stay with you. It's hell over at my place" I thanked him, tears streaming down my face and staining his shirt with my dark eye makeup. He squeezed me tightly and kissed the top of my head before helping me carry my bags up to his high-end apartment. "I made a room for you with closet space and such, so you can set up in there if you want," he told me, leading me to a nice sized bedroom. I nodded my head, appreciatively, and started unloading my bags and putting everything away. I unlocked my phone and noticed that I had six texts all from my mother. They read:
Mom: Baby, please come home.
Mom: At least talk to me about this.
Mom: You know what, fuck it.
Mom: I'm glad I slept with your boyfriend.
Mom: He didn't like you anyways.
Mom: Don't come back, bitch.
I started crying as I finished reading the messages and I chucked my phone onto the bed I'd be using. I let Sailor and Marie out of their carriers and placed them in their little beds before I, myself, changed into Soffee shorts, a Fall Out Boy t-shirt, and fell asleep on the extremely comfortable bed. It would take some getting used to but hey, maybe living here wouldn't be so bad after all.
