Aaliyah POV
"I need to go." Was all I said when I fled the small building. What was I thinking it wasn't my fault but at the same time it was. At the moment it felt right but once his lips touched mine it was like fire and water they don't mix but they leave people feeling burned.

"Wait." Zach called. By this time is was pouring down raining. I didn't care I kept running down the sidewalk. Zach got in his car following along side of me.

"Please get back in the car." He begged. Shaking my head I kept walking.

"It was a mistake." I say stopping. He looks at me hurt flashes in his eyes.

"A mistake?" His voice breaks a little bit. I nod.

"You have a girl to go home to and I have a man to go home to." I respond and continue walking again. He starts to drive.

"Please just get in the car your gonna catch pneumonia." He pleaded.

"Wouldn't be the worst thing that's happen to me today." The rain pours harder my hair sticking to my face.

"Why me." I whisper to myself looking to the sky when lightening strikes.

"Aaliyah don't be stubborn just get in the car." He persisted. I breath.

"I'll get in the car." I tell him not really having much of a choice realizing the storm was only gonna get worst. Getting in the car he gives me his jacket that I reject. It was now awkward. I cheated on Steph and it didn't feel like it was suppose to feel. I was suppose to feel like I got him back like I was the one on top now but it only left me further down. Closing my eyes i think about everything as the windshield wipers plays soothing my nerves the slightest bit. "It'll be okay" Steph used to tell me but it wasn't right now. The car stopped.

"I know we aren't on best terms right but do you really want to go in there?" He asked I breathed in.

" I can't hide from him forever." I simply say putting my hand on the handle.

"Call me if anything happens in there I'm here for you." Zach calls before I slam the door. Running through the rain I avoid the big puddles. Banging on the door I wait for someone to answer. Nothing. I go up to me and Stephens room and hear noises.

"Oh no." I whisper to myself. Breathing in I open the door to see the girl on my bed laughing as Stephen gave her little kisses and pecks making her giggle even more.

"Do you mind?" He asked and I looked at him in shock.

"Of course I do I-I'm suppose to be your girlfriend!" I yelled hot tears running down my face.

"Ok and." He said slickly. The world started to spin around me and my heart started to beat in my ears. The world was getting darker by the second but I wasn't worried the darkness still wasn't as dark as my thoughts.

"Aaliyah!" Steph yelled concerned. I open my eyes one last time to see Steph running to my rescue.

"I'm sorry." I whispered. Before the dark world swallowed me whole.

Flashback
"We will always be together right Steph?" I ask him leaning my head on his shoulder.

"Of course baby and when we are old enough you'll become my wife." The 15 year old said kissing my hand gently. We sat in front of my house on the porch. Today we found out that my mom had cancer and was dying. She was gonna leave me. She was my everything.

"She's dying." I tell him looking straight ahead.

"It's gonna okay baby we'll get through this together I'm not leaving you and your not leaving me." He whispered in my ear pushing the loose hairs off my face so he could look straight into my eyes.

"Promise?" I ask.

"Promise." He says kissing my lips.
