It all started with "hello"

A couple of months before summer started two friends from Alabama. Started talking on Facebook there names where Emma and Matt. They had never met each other in person before but that didn't stop them from being friends. They hadn't talked before, and neither wanted to say hey first, but after a while Emma did it. She knew that if she would say that one word it could start a whole knew friendship. So they talked for a few weeks on Facebook.And after getting to know each other a little better they exchanged phone numbers. They talk for a few months, but they still hadn't met in person. They decided that they would meet before the summer was up. There was just one problem Emma had to visit her dad for a month in Kansas. So they would just have to wait until she got back. While she was there they texted each other everyday. They would text each other "good morning" and "good night". After a while they realized that it was more than just a silly friendship. But neither wanted to admit it because Matt was 2 years older than Emma being 16 while see was 14. On top of that Emma's mom recently married and her new step dad was in the military, and was moving to Hawaii. She was going to be moving with in a week of getting back from her dad's house. But that didn't stop them. She still had 3 weeks at her dads house. So she made the best of it. One day while she was there the two were playing 20 questions and Matt asked who Emma like. At first she was hesitant and said "I'll only tell you if you tell me who you like". So in shock he replied with "Shelley". And then Emma said "well you". When Matt read that he knew that he wasn't alone that he would have her in his life for awhile. He responded that he really liked her and that he just didn't want to admit it. After talking for a few more weeks Emma realized that moving just became a lot harder. She would not only be leaving her friends but someone that she could be falling in love with. Though they didn't date and didn't plan to. She thought she was falling for him little did he know that she was planing on forever weather they friends or more. Oh but how longed for it be more. She wanted to tell him but didn't know how. If she could have known what the future held for the 2 of them. On the last 2 weeks at her dads house they started planing a going away party. The party planing aside the conversations between the two got sweeter and sweeter the more they talked. The last day she was at her dads is a day she would never forget everyone that she invited to go to her party had some excuse that they couldn't go except 1 Matt. Her friends that she had known for years bailed, but the person she met a few months ago was going to be the only one to come. When the day came for the party Emma was pretty nervous. She had forgotten to tell her parents that everyone but Matt was coming, and when she did her mom wasn't exactly happy about it she was considering not letting Emma go, but after hours of persuading they came to a compromise. She could go as long as her moms friend could come with the two the party was planed that they would meet at the movies at 6:45 to watch "man of steel". Emma got there before Matt did. She was with her step dad brother and her moms friend tori. Her brother and step dad were going to watch a different movie but waited so they could say hi to Matt. When Matt got there he introduced him self to Emma's family. He shook their hands with pride, but then Emma's step dad shook Matt's hand and said "I will kill you". Emma turned bright red in embarrassment. When they got into the movies Matt was so freaked out about Emma's step dad that he wouldn't Even hold her hand when the movie was over they stayed for a little longer and had a few laughs. When it was time to leave they hugged good bye. After that it really didn't feel the same for either of them they knew there was more the there relationship, but they were just friends and that's all they were ever going to be. When she moved to Hawaii things had to change they could always text each other. They both tried so hard to make it work and one day Emma was listening to her iPod and the song "crush" by David Archuleta and while she was listening to it the only thing she could think of was Matt and all the memories they had. Emma realized that she couldn't be friends with Matt cause she wanted to be so much more. And Matt once told her that "anythings possible". When she talks to him sometimes it feels like they are just friends, and then other days its like they barely know each other. They stayed friends for awhile. But when school started it was even harder to talk to each other. They talked to each other every chance they got for months. They each had their dates other people but they always went back the each other. When Emma finally realized that they would only be friends and that was never going to change. She knew that she would have to get over someone she had never even dated. Right when she thought it was all over and that she would never be able to date him. She text him hey and it was like they were back to summer where he called her beautiful and pretty just cause he could. while they we're have there conversation meme saw an opportunity to tell Matt how she really felt but first she had to see if she was dating any one. So she asked and to her surprise he hadn't talk to his ex-girlfriend in a couple weeks. so Emma told him to listen to a song that perfectly described how she felt. And yet he didn't say a thing he just said okay. By that response she almost felt like there was no hope left for her and Matt. That she couldn't just have her moment that she had dreamed of for months now. Where all she has to say is I love you and he just says finally I thought I was on my own. were he would say I love you and no one could say different that she was the one for her and that he loved her no matter what. And that no one could stop it cause he was so in love. And there was no doubt that Emma loved him more than anything. after waiting a while Emma got impatient so she asked he if he like the song. when he replied it was like every thing had just changed he started to tell at her saying she had leave him alone because he had a girlfriend. Emma being completely confused asked what he meant. then he told her that he lied when he said he didn't have a girlfriend he just wanted to see what she would have said. Emma being completely crushed cried her self to sleep that night. Over the next few months they talked littler and littler everyday. it got to a point were they didn't talk at all for months. Emma was so devastated that she could wrap her head around her and Matt not being at least friends.
