It's funny how in life the smallest things can change the entire course of history, and everything decision we make and thing we do in our life changes our future.
Sometimes our decisions and actions can have a negative effect on our life, but at the same time those decisions we make can also have a positive effect on them.
We may not see the positive effect right away, but as we get older and mature we sometimes find that what we though was something horrible may just be one of the best things ever.
For me, this was when I decided to make a deal with that red haired boy named Basil.
"So what exactly is the point of this?" I ask as Basil who was digging through his backpack to find the keys to his apartment.
"You're fulfilling your part of our deal, I helped you find Hoby's office and now you and I are going to try and get to know each other," Basil sates as he pulls out a lanyard, with a variety of different keys attached to it, from his bag.
"Wasn't the walk here enough bonding time?" I ask sarcastically giving the red head a blank expression.
"The walk here was less than ten minutes, and you said nothing Allie."
"I said something," I defend, jumping back slightly as he tossed his old gray backpack in front of my feet as to get to the large oak door.
"Yeah to insult me, that doesn't count as a real conversation."
"Sorry if I don't particularly enjoy the idea of getting to know the guy who kidnapped me five minutes after we met," I snarl before leaning against the large white block wall of the building, picking at my chipping purple nail polish.
"Well maybe if you would try and get to know me better than you would change your opinion on me," Basil suggests, rolling his eyes at me, before turning the key in the lock and opening the door to the apartment.
"After you snowflake," Basil offers, holding the door open for me to enter first.
I scoff slightly and roll my eyes at the red head, shaking my head at his cool mood before walking into the small apartment, Baz trailing behind.
"Oh please the only girl you could get to love you is your mother, and that would be hard!" someone, most likely a girl, shouts out in a high tone as Basil closes the door, causing both of us to stop in our steps.
"At least my mom loves me, can't say the same about yours!" another voice is hear, this time the voice is lower and more masculine.
I turn towards Baz, who has a blank expression on his face that is soon replaced by a annoyed expression as he pushes past me light, muttering a sorry in the process as he almost knocks me down.
"Thanks for waiting for me," I mutter as I scamper down the hallway and towards the living room that I had woken up in only a few weeks prior.
As I walked into the large open room, I was greeted by the sight of a man and woman, who both looked to be a bit older than Basil and I, glaring at each other from where they were standing, while Basil was standing in between the two hands spread out to keep them from attacking the other.
"What is going on in here?" Baz snaps, causing me to flinch at the harshness of his tone.
The pair continued to glare at the other, ignoring Basil's question, as if waiting for something to happen.
