Faithful Heartbeat

Chapter three

Elsa------------

When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a private room at an hospital. The only one in the room was Evan and the doctor. I was still weak and was finding it a bit hard to speak.

'What happened to me?' I asked softly.

'A dog bit you and you lost blood, but your absolutely fine now' said the docter.

'Is that it?' I asked.

'Yes dear. Now you rest.' said the doctor, leaving the room and giving privacy to Evan and I.

'That wasn't the real reason, now was it?' I asked Evan.

'A Vampire bit you.' said Evan.

' Who was he? Was a he a good vampire or a bad one?' I asked.

'When I arrived, he wasn't there so I don't really know.' said Evan.

'I see.' I said in a weak voice.

Coming and sitting next to me Evan asked.'Tell me. Do you remember how the person looks?'

'He was a tall, fair, blonde haired guy.' I said.

'Okay thanks.' said Evan, taking his jacket and heading outside.

'Wait, where are you going?' I asked.

'I have some work' said Evan.

'What work? If your going after that guy, don't. I'm sick and your supposed to be with me right now.' I said.

'But I have to find him!' said Evan.

Feeling a little numb, I screamed,'Listen to your mistress, Evan.'  

Suddenly I got back my full consciousness and found Evan glaring at me with frightened eyes.

'Whats the matter? Did I say anything wrong?' I asked.

'Your voiced just seemed different and sort of loud. Anyway, I will stay here with you.' said Evan, coming next to me and comforting my hands in his his.

' Am I changing,Evan?' I asked with curiousity.

' Yes you are. Your bitten and now slowly your going to become one of me.' said Evan.

'One of you? I thought you took out the venom in time!' I shouted.

'I gave a little blood to you in order so save you. Eventually you will become a vampire soon enough' said Evan.

' I hate you for doing this to me. What am I gonna answer Ralph huh? Am I going to tell him i'm immortal?' I said with sadness.

'I'm extremely sorry for this Elsa but this was the only way to save you.' said Evan, feeling ashamed.

The next day I was allowed to go home. I din't feel like returning though because I felt danger would surround me once again. I had already been pulled by death once already. I have no idea what will happen next.

The next few days seemed strange. I kept on getting weird dreams at night and wasn't able to sleep well which made me weak and tired. I kept on encountering certains pains. I felt dizzy and numb most of the times.I dint feel like eating anything except for drinking liquids. I felt thirsty very often.

[IN THE MEANWHILE, IN THE WOODS] 

EVAN---------

Where is he? How dare he try to attack Elsa. He'll pay for his sins.

'Looking for me' said the mysterious man behind the tree.

'Who are you and whats your name?' I asked with raging anger.

'My name is Bryan.' said the vampire.

'Bryan, you did a wrong thing targeting Elsa.' I shouted.

Approaching me he said, 'That girls mine.'

'Never' I say and charge at him with tremendous speed. We fought till night fall. I quited the fight because Elsa would be needing me.

'The fight isnt over.' I said and left for home immediately.

As I reached, I heared Elsa screaming my name from her room. When I entered I found her in extreme pain. Her face looked pale and her body was aching with pain.

'Evan,do something!!' shouted Elsa, not able to bear the pain.

'Do you mind if I make you unconscious for a while?' I ask.

'Do anything but take this pain away please.' said mistress.

I bit her and drank some of her blood to further weaken her and finally she lay unconscious. I wonder what the cause of the pain was. Was she evolving too fast?

Elsa-------

I snap out of my unconsciousness and look around me for sometime. Then I get up and walk to the mirror. Having a good look at myself, I seemed a little skinny. The surprising part was that my eyes had turned deep red and body felt very cold and stiff. Maybe I turned into a vampire. I really don't know. But I know one thing for sure that I cannot keep contact with any human anymore. Not even Ralph.

I felt so thirsty for blood, but I knew it was a sin to have someone's blood. But I really cant control my thirst right now. I felt quite jovial to go hunting anyway. I dint hesitate to rush out of the house. But when I was about to, Evan stopped me. He asked to stop my hunger but for me it was nearly impossible to do that.

Evan let me drink his blood and I furiously bit him and dissolved my thirst. Evan tried putting me to bed but I was too energetic to sleep. I kind of went wild on Evan for forcing me to bed.But he managed to tight me up with a belt tightly and I was unable to break through and finally gave up. Staring into Evan's eyes I begged him to let go but he dint.

'Come on! Leave me alone!' I shouted at Evan.

'Sorry but I cant do that Elsa' said Evan.

'Lets make out!' 

'You think I'm pretty, without any makeup on 

You think I'm funny, when I tell the punch line wrong

Before you met me, I was a wreck but things,

' Let me go' I screamed.

'I'm about to lose my mind 

you've been gone for so long 

I'm running out of time 

I need a doctor 

call me a doctor 

I need a doctor, doctor 

to bring me back to life' I sang like as if I was drunk.

'EVAN!!!!!!!!!' I shouted.

He dint quite like it either to tie up his own mistress. But what to do, Mr. Handsome Evan dint want me to go out of control. He made me take a pill and soon after having it, the darkness pulled me in.
