**2 years later**
Liam's POV:
I walk up to Melody's house, nervously pu hilling on my suit jacket, and knock on the door. Today is our 2 year anniversary, and I am taking her out to dinner.
When Melody opens the door, my mouth flew open. She had on a knee length red dress that hugged her curves nicely. She also had little makeup on and curled her hair. Melody starts giggling lightly, pulling me inside. Lilly walks up, "close your mouth. You're gonna catch a fly!"
"Haha, very funny," i choked out, finally broken from the trance. Melody turns to me and stands on her tip toes to peck my lips. I lean down, slowly grabbing her hips and kiss her softly, enjoying every moment. We only parted when we heard someone clear their throaght. We look up and see Melody's mom holding a camera.
I laugh and turn Melody, my arm wrapped around her. I do Melody's favorite smile, the one that makes her laugh. Melody's mom starts laughing and gets ready to take another picture. Before she snaps the next photo, I lean down and kiss Melody's cheek, making her blush.
Once pictures were done, I grab Melody's hand and kiss it. "I need to talk to your mom real quick. I'll be right back," I promised. When Melody nods, I head towards the kitchen with her mom.
"I need to ask you something," I said nervously, fumbling for my coat pocket.
"Yes dear?" She says with a smile.
I pull out a tiny velvet box, and hand it to her. "Do you think she'd like it?" I ask.
She takes it from my hand and opens the box, seeing the ring. She covers her mouth when she sees the diamond, "it's beautiful Liam!"
"Now, the actual question is, do I have your blessing? To propose to her?" I ask.
"Liam, I've known you all my life. I see how much you care for Melody. Of course you have my blessing," she says, tearing up. She hands me the box and I hug her.
"Thank you," I say. I walk out of the kitchen casually. "Alright! I'll have her back soon," I say, acting like our conversation was about curfew. I walk up to Melody and grab her hand, leading her out the door.
We walk to the restaurant, because it wasn't too far. I open the door and lead Melody inside. We walk to the front counter, "Table for two?" The waitress asked.
"Yes ma'am," I say.
"Right this way." Melody and I follow her to a table in the corner. It was lit by candlelight, with a vase of flowers as the centerpiece.
I pull out a chair for Melody and wait for her to sit before heading to the other side of the table, sitting in the seat across from her. I smile at her while the waitress takes our order. "I would like a coke please," Melody says.
The waitress nods and looks towards me, "I'll take the same," I say. She nods and walks away. I smile at Melody, nervous for what's about to come.
"What?" Melody asks with a giggle.
"What?" I repeat.
"Why are you staring at me?"
"Because you're the most beautiful girl in here."
She blushes and looks down. The waitress comes back with the cokes. "Are you guys ready to order?" She asks kindly.
"I'll take your Alfredo," I say. I look at Melody at the same time as the waitress.
"I'll take the same," she says. The waitress nods and walks off. Melody stared after the waitress with an upset look.
"What's wrong?" I ask worriedly.
"It's nothing. She just looks at you a certain way. The way most girls do when they're flirting with you," she says looking down.
"She wasn't flirting. She was taking our order," I say. "And even if she was flirting, I could care less. Especially when the most gorgeous lady is sitting across from me."
She blushes again and smiles. The waitress comes back and sets our food on the table. Only when she asked if there was anything else we needed I noticed her way of blocking out Melody. She was faced away from Melody and focused on me, smiling sweetly.
I nod and say, "there is one more thing."
"What can I get for you?" She asks excitedly.
I ignore her and lean across the table and kiss Melody on the lips softly. When we pull away, the waitress stomps off and Melody laughs. I smile and start playing with my coat nervously.
Melody picks up her fork and takes a bite of the Alfredo and smiles. "This is amazing," she says. I laugh an eat some myself.
After we both finish eating I start to shake, getting more and more nervous. Melody looks at me worriedly. "Everything ok Liam? You haven't been acting normal for a while."
I smile nervously and stand up. I hold out my hand for her to grab, and I pull her up. I take a deep breath and shakily pull out the velvet box. I get down on one knee slowly, and open the box. Melody covers her mouth in awe, tearing up. "Melody Peralez, I have known you all of my life. We have been best friends since I can remember. I'm happy you have been in my life... Well, you are my life. You are my air, without you, I wouldn't be here. You know, when you said yes to being my girlfriend, it made me happy. But, when I ask you to be my wife, will you make me estatic, and marry me?" I say, shaking slightly, but made sure to say it loud enough so the whole restaurant could hear.
When she didn't say anything, I got scared. But when she starts to slowly nod, I start to smile. "Yes, I would be more than happy to marry you." She says quietly with tears running down her face.
I stand quickly and put the ring on her finger. I lift her into the air, kissing her softly on the lips. There was applaud coming from the customers in the restaurant. I set her down and smile, bowing towards the other like they were an audience. Melody starts to laugh and smiles. "Wanna get out of here? Maybe go somewhere more private?" She asks. I nod and hold her hand, leading her outside.
It is around 10:30 pm when we leave the restaurant. I lead her to the park and sit on the bench, smiling like a maniac. Melody sits beside me, and without a word she grabs me and kisses my lips, harder than she's ever done before.
I pull her into my lap, one hand on her hip and the other in her hair. She smiles into the kiss, deepening it within seconds. I move my hands down farther, gripping her butt, making her jump a little.
I move my hand back up to her hands, afraid she wasn't comfortable with that. She laughs at my caution and pushes my hands down. I smile and continue to kiss her.
After a while, she started to lick my bottom lip, begging for entrance. I open my mouth, letting her explore a little.
Finally, we brake apart for a breath. She smiles and kisses my cheek, getting off of my lap and holds out her hand. I take it gladly, letting her pull me up. She starts walking, heading towards my house. "Your dad's not home right?" She asks.
"No. He's on a road trip with some buddies," I reply. We walk to my door and look at each other. She smiles, pulling me into another kiss. I pick her up, and she wraps her legs around my waist. I unlock the door and head upstairs to my room. I shut and lock the door without breaking our heated make out session. I lay her gently on the bed, smiling into the kiss. She starts to lick my lip again, begging for entrance. I open my mouth, deepening the kiss. I feel her tongue explore my mouth. I grab her butt and pull her closer to me, to the point there isn't any room between us.
Melody starts unbuttoning my shirt, eventually tossing it to the ground.
I continue kissing her, playing with the hem of her dress. I then pull away from her, pulling off her dress, then continue to kiss her. I rub my hand across her back, feeling her smooth skin. She shivers our of joy, kissing me harder.
I pull apart shortly and whisper, "I love you Melody."
She smiles, "I love you to." With that, she kisses me again, as if we hadn't just pulled apart. As things were escalating, we hear the door open. Melody freezes and moves to get off of me, laying next to me. I get off my bed, unlock my door and pick up her dress, handing it to her to put on. I then lay back on the bed next to her, not bothering to put my shirt back on and wait for her to put her dress on. When she's done, she lays down next to me with her head on my chest, closing her eyes as if she were asleep. I did the same, wrapping my arms around her waist and listen to her breath.
I hear my door open quietly, followed by my dad's voice, "Liam? You in here?" He asks, not noticing us at first. Once he sees us, he grabs another blanket from the closet and lays it on top of Melody and I because we were laying on my comforter. He leans down and kisses Melody's head softly, then grabs my shoulder gently. Thinking I was asleep, he didn't want to wake me. He heads out of my room, pulling out his phone and dialing a number. Right before he heads down the stairs, he says to the person on the other line, "I just wanted to let you know that Melody is here at my house. She and Liam have fallen asleep upstairs. I just don't want you to get worried." I smile, knowing how close everyone has gotten these past years because of the trouble Melody went through. I kiss Melody's forehead, realising she has fallen asleep for real, and I whisper softly, "I love you. Sweet dreams my love." I then slowly fall asleep for the night, holding my one true love, my life, in my arms.*****
So sorry for the like year late update. It's been pretty crazy for me, starting a job, school, band... But I will try to write more often...
