Soft and gentle. Like a butterfly landing on a flower. He kissed her wrists quietly, willing the scars to vanish. Those ugly ragged lines that looked wrong on her perfect skin. He looked her in the eyes before pulling her close. Holding her so tightly she let a gasp of air escape her.

"Please don't ever do this to yourself again. You're too incredible to feel like this."

She felt it stir inside her. A blossom of hope and love. Swirling in her stomach and  settling in her soul. A love that would become so strong not even God himself could destroy it.
