Nick ran into Fiona and smiled at her. As usual, she looked pretty. Gina was talking to her as their eyes met and held. He blushed as he walked past, smiling to himself. Fiona looked back with a smile.
"Fifi, what's happening?" Gina asked once she spotted her best friend grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
"Nothing."
"I wasn't born yesterday."
"But Zayn kissed you yesterday."
Gina blushed before rolling her eyes. "It wasn't real."
"Uh-huh... but you wish it was."
"Why do I tell you things?" Gina asked.
"Because I am your best friend forever!"
Gina rolled her eyes before noticing Max and his crew staring at her. He blew her a kiss but she picked up an imaginary bat and hit it back.
"You know you love me!" Max yelled down the corridor as she walked away. She flipped him the finger without turning back, and kept walking. People watching burst into laughter, and soon the corridor was rent by the sound of Max yelling for everyone to "shut the füčk up!"
"You win," Zayn said when he sat down next to her during their class.
"Fiona Shay Fernandez!"
"Fine, Nick and I have been..."
"Seeing each other?" Gina completed. "I KNEW IT! NO WONDER HE'S GOT SO MANY LOVE SONGS!"
Fiona turned to look at Gina. "What?"
"Yeah, he's been writing... wait, you didn't know?" She asked. "Oh snap! Where are my manners?! I meant, oh look! I love your sandals! Where did you get them? Could you take me there?"
Fiona shook her head at Gina before storming off to find Nick. Gina sighed, hating her big mouth for saying what she shouldn't have to Fiona. Nick would surely hate her now.
*&*&*&*&
It was snowing heavily outside, and it was the last day before Christmas Break. Gina hadn't seen Fiona since the day before, and it bugged her knowing Fiona was avoiding her.
She spotted Zayn down the corridor at his locker, and she made her way over to him. "Zayn!"
His eyes widened at seeing her. It brought back thoughts that he had managed to supress, to the surface. All he had thought of since their first date was how to kiss her until she couldn't stop thinking of kissing him either. All soldiers should, without doubt, insist on and hold on to their missions. No matter how hard and tiring.
Gina looked great in the school uniform. Today she had straightened her hair and she held it as a bun. Her face looked beautiful and her skin was positively glowing.
"What are you guys doing for Christmas?" She asked.
"Nothing much. The usual," Zayn said as he noticed her applying lip gloss on her pink lips. His eyes followed the movement of her brush on them and in his head he cried to himself. Gina was so so hot and she didn't even know it.
"My parents won ten tickets to visit the Appalachian Mountains and they thought it would be best to go bond in the mountains."
"Oh. Okay. I'll talk to my parents then. They'll be glad to join you I guess."
"Still don't celebrate Christmas?" She asked with a smile.
"You remember," Zayn said with a smile.
Gina looked down blushing and Zayn placed a finger under her chin, tilting her face up, and back to him. He couldn't resist it. She looked so good and he just wanted to kiss her. It took everything in him not to do it.
