Arf! Arf!

"Shit! Drew do something please!" Lilly screeched, tears poured from her eyes, watching me on the floor, wrestling the sick person. The zombie snarled at me, trying to bite me, but I was stronger than that. I then pushed the zombie with all of my force and knocked it down. The zombie tried getting up, but it was so clumsy and extremely messed up from the brain, it had a hard time getting up to attack.

"Maria! come here!"

Drew held a pistol, aimed at the creature. Just before the zombie got up to bite me, he shot it, leaving an incredibly loud bang. And silence. I turned to see the sick person, with a bullet shot straight at the head, bleeding a bright pool of blood on the floor.

"Fudge! you could've killed me Drew!" He chuckled, putting his gun into his pocket, Lilly ran her hands through her brown wavy hair, running towards me and gave me a hug, crying. Max was playing around with himself, what a protective puppy he was.

"Ok we need to move out immediately! cause they'll come to us." Drew insisted, Lilly and I nodded with agreement, so we had to get our stuff, once we packed up again, we walked out with no chance of survival.

"Where should we be heading first before we leave?" Lilly said.

Drew then pointed out to a store, near a work shop and a restaurant, as I looked at it more carefully, I saw in big bold red letters: Gun Shop.

"There, we'll get weapons, and suppressors, including knives for backup, we may also need food, so we got to bring big bags, I have a truck to put everything there and a secret hideout."

"Sounds like a good plan, when do we start?" I asked, grabbing Max for him not to escape.

"Midnight."

As we walked to the hideout Drew says, some man came running with a cart, knocking me down." Hey watch it you dumbass!" Lilly screamed, helping me up. the man never turned around to apologize, nor stop, he simply kept going, like an arrow shot from a bow. We kept going, a little faster than before. I took a look around the whole area Lilly lives. Before, it was nice straight houses that perfectly matched from each other. Now, there was a lot of destruction and blood, including cars that were completely destroyed or flipped over crushed.

We finally made it to the Hideout, an average sized house, strong thick walls, with only 2 windows, large fence that was impossible for anyone that crossed over. Drew welcomed us inside, giving us a room to stay in, we had to share it of course. "Get some sleep Ladies, we'll collect the weapons at 12:00 ok?"

we both nodded, Drew left and we unpacked our stuff. As we finished unpacking, we went to eat some snacks, then back to go take a nap. I went to the restroom to change into comfortable clothes, wearing dark blue fluffy pants and a long sleeved shirt that was white. Lilly was also changed, wearing warm ups and a purple shirt.

I gave her a confident smile, laying down at the bed that we had to share. Max came in, curling on my arms and resting. Lilly, then joined and covered yourself with a large blanket.

"I'm really scared now." Lilly said, looking at the roof blankly.

"Same."

I really wanted to talk about Drew since he likes her maybe, but I felt like it was the wrong time, so I stayed quiet, giving her a warm smile. "Good Night Lilly."

"Night Maria."

* * *
"Wake up!" He yelled, yanking the blankets from our hands. Lilly and I both groaned, tired and hungry. I rubbed my eyes, and saw some empty bags, I slowly stretched and went to the restroom to change into shorts, of course my legs were shaved. After I got out I put on my shoes and grabbed a bag. Lilly was also changed, holding onto an empty bag and walked to the living room in front of me.

"Is Max going?" Lilly asked, worried as she looked at Max, who was confused as he tilted his head to the side, confusingly whining. "Of course he's coming, I don't trust him in here." Drew replied, attaching the leash onto his collar. We gathered our things and drove off, quietly, but swiftly.
Once we made it to the Gun Shop, we hopped off and grabbed all the things we needed.
I was a very big fan of assault and machine guns, so I got as many as I could, including the ammo and suppressors. I always thought guns were easy to carry, because I would play Call of Duty, but I was dead wrong. I had to help Lilly find something too. After we loaded the bags, we went to go hunt for food. Lilly and I went straight for the junk food, and Drew went for the water and drinks.

After one hour, we drove back and packed the stuff to our home, for now.
"At last! We can sleep!" Lilly loudly sighed, as she jumped at the bed. I did the same, loudly sighing, staring blankly at the ceiling as I moved my hands behind my neck.

"So how do you feel with all of this going on?" Lilly blurted out, destroying the silence and peace I had. I faced towards her, looking straight at her.

"I really don't know, ever since we got back together, I thought it would go alright until this apocalypse ruined everything. I feel afraid, but as long as you're here with me, I'm alright." I slowly smiled at her.

She smiled back, revealing her dimples that formed on her cheeks. We chatted a little more, then Lilly drifted to sleep. I stayed awake for the longest time, watching the dark.

As Lilly snored softly, I grabbed a blanket I put it on her lightly and carefully, she then wrapped herself on it and scooted close to me. I got another blanket and did the same she did.

"Goodnight Lilly." I softly whispered to her, and started to sleep.
