The next day

Noah's pov
Trying to get a moment with Richelle alone is so difficult! She's been avoiding me all day! I haven't spoken with her, or even made eye contact with her! Every time I walk towards her, or even stand next to her, she moves away! I just wish that she knew what I was going to say to her...

Then, I see my chance to talk to her. Richelle is sitting alone on a bench, playing on her phone whilst twiddling her blond curls around her finger. Ugh, can she look anymore adorable? No one else is in studio A...odd. But who cares? This is my chance to talk to her!

"Hey." I say, approaching her.

Startled, she jumps as she hears my voice and drops her phone. She picks it up. Phew! No cracks! If that had cracked just a tiny bit, I'd be dead. When she looked back at me, she gave me a look that she'd never given towards me. She looked...scared. She actually looked scared of me! Scared about what I'm going to say, what I'm going to do.

"I haven't forgotten about what you said- well, almost said yesterday." I say and she looks away, her cheeks turning as red as a tomato.
"Noah I'mm really sorry! You probably think I'm just a stupid girl! I've probably ruined our friendship, and you'll never feel the same way about me!" She exclaims, placing her head in her hands.
"Richelle," I say softly, pulling her head into my chest and stroking her hair. "You haven't ruined anything! Besides, I might have a crush on my best friend too."

She looks up at me, her eyes twinkling like stars. A smile begins to form on her face and she says in a quiet voice, "Really?"
"Really." I reassure her and she rests her head on my shoulder as I put my arm around her side.
"So, I was thinking. Are you busy tonight?" I ask, nervously biting my lip.
"No, why?" She asks teasingly, a grin appearing on my face.
"I don't suppose you want to, go to dinner with me?" I ask, waiting for a response.

Instead of using words, she hugs me tightly and whispers in my ear, "I'd love to."
"Great! I'll pick you up at seven! Oh, and wear something formal." I say winking at her and she smiles back.
I can't wait for tonight!
