Meeting Mingus

*Alexa's POV*

Since our date last Saturday night Norman and I have been spending more and more time together. This weekend was the weekend that Mingus was set to come down so I wasn't sure how much time we'd get to spend with each other while he was here but I understood. His son comes first before the girl that was he was hanging out with since we really hadn't had the whole 'are we a couple or not' conversation yet but I think it was nearly time for it.

I wasn't expecting to hear from him until Sunday night when Mingus flew back to New York so when my phone went off I jumped and grabbed for it. I woke up the screen and saw Norman's name.

N- me and ming are out in the parking lot get dressed and come down

A- i'll need a little time so you guys should come up here

N- be up in a few

I locked my phone and started to put my paci and stuffed plushie Daryl away before digging clothes out. It was a warm day here so I pulled out a pair of capris and a tank top that I discovered was my Motörhead tank top, Norm would enjoy that. I got socks out and sat them beside my blue converses.

After a few minutes I heard a strong knock on my door so I rushed over to answer it. I opened the door to just Norman.

"Come in, where's Mingus?" I asked.

"He's out in my truck. I wanted us to talk first." Norman replied as I closed the door.

"About what?" I questioned.

"Us. If you're gonna meet Mingus then you have to know that this is a serious thing. I don't want somebody to come into his life just to walk out. I need to know that you're in this for the long haul." He told me.

"I was just thinking about when we should be having this conversation just a little while ago. I'm honestly in it for the long game. I have no plans to just walk out of your or Mingus' life once I meet the kid. I mean I know he's not a kid, he's 16 years old but whatever." I replied.

"Are you sure? I don't want to pressure you into saying anything you don't want to." He told me with his hands on my face.

"Norman, I've never been more sure of anything. We'll just keep us under wraps for a bit then once we get to the right time we'll let the world know." I replied looking right into his eyes.

"Sounds like a good plan to me. We'll start small, Mingus first since he'll ask as soon as we get in the truck then we'll have to tell everyone on set or at least producers and directors." He listed off.
