Dear D,
You know I am really really really happy right now.
You are safe.
In your room.I went to your place, when you were sleeping.
I climbed up that same tree I always used to and the window was open, like it used to be.
As if you kept them open for me.
It was dark inside, I couldn't really spot you.
Having no other choice, I climbed up in.A smile spread across when I saw you on the bed. Sleeping peacefully like a little baby.
Your partially lit face looked more beautiful than it ever did.
Oh, I remember the nights I would just sit here and lullaby you to sleep. But those days were gone.
I wanted to go back home and cry but I didn't.
I just sat there, on the carpet watching you asleep.
I sat there hearing your slow breaths and I sat there shedding tears.I wanted to touch you.
But if I did there was no going back.
Love,
Jeremy.
