We are born with it.
All of us have flaws.
But The one who accepts his flaws,
Is the strongest of us all.

The sun shone brightly this morning, peeking through her bedroom windows and its rays falling right at her makeup smeared, smudged mascara and tangled blonde hairs.

The light was disturbing her serene state of sleeping as she shuffled in the bed to face away from the sun. But then something else happened to effect her lazy state.

Her phone made a shrill sound. It was a text from one of her friends.

No she doesn't have a best friend. She has many friends. And the fact that she doesn't believe in the philosophy of having a single best friend. The more, the merrier.

The phone beeped. Again. And again and again. Well until she became clear that she has to see why is she getting these continuous texts in the morning.

Her hand on it's own accord searched the bedside, whilst her eyes were still closed.

She swiped the screen to see the messages. They were from Hannah. Some from others as well. But mostly Hannah.

"Uggghh." There was a loud groan. The phone clock said it was 9:07 am. She slept around 3:00 in the morning.

"Fuck ! Not again." And she ran towards her bathroom for a quick shower, to get ready on time.

Well, she was late. Again. This is something that happens every morning.

She would have been up on time if she hadn't partied like a wild beast on a school night. But she didn't care. She partied almost every day. Rich kids. They just do whatever they wish.

"Martha! Where the hell did you keep my - oh I found it." And they can't even keep their shit intact.

Poor Martha. She has worked for 16 years and 2 months in this house. She has practically raised this ungrateful child. It's hard to have a value in today's world.

"Where is dad?" She asked coming down the stairs in a heated fury. She is always in this mood. The bitch mood.

"He already left." Said a trembling Martha. Her eyes had been on the floor the entire time. She couldn't even look in those cold blue eyes.

Martha puffed the breath she had been holding the entire time.

"This girl is more dangerous than El cuco." She thought.

Martha was a latino. And her latino mind couldn't think of anything scarier than that.

The hot California sun hit her tanned body as she exited the house.

She got in her shiny expensive car and hit the road. She had to make it before the 2nd period ends. So she drove like a mad dog, hoping that she won't be pulled over for speeding.

She didn't give a shit about school. Her principal was a pain in the ass. Especially hers. And this was the 15th time she was late in this month. Some days she simply skipped school.

It was a warning for her to keep it together. From her father and the principal.

Her father was sometimes sick of her ways of life but he couldn't do anything as he loved her too much to say anything at all.

But the constant nagging he got from the principal on the conduct of his daughter was irritating. He had not time for such issues. The multimillionaire had other shit to do as well.

So Delilah had to be on time to school from now on if she wanted to stay out of trouble. But she was late again.

The corridors were silent when she entered the school halls. She had history for 2nd period.

"May I come in Mr. Andrew?" The whole class was now looking at the intruder.

"You are late. As always. Detention after school." He said annoyed by her mere presence.

She didn't give a damn. It wasn't her first. And she was no where near a good girl.

She took her seat beside Hannah.

"I texted you like a thousand times. Why weren't you on time?" Hannah demanded the answer.

"Lastly as I remember, texts do not wake people up. A call would have sufficed." Said Delilah with an annoyed tone. "Stupid." She murmured.

Lunch was like everyday. Couples giving too much PDA. Jocks talking about the last chick they banged. Cheerleaders giggling like freaks. Loners and emos looking for their next target to kill. And then there was Delilah with same straight face that said 'Don't talk to me or I will kill you.'

"Aiden is coming back." Said Hannah in between stupid talks.

And suddenly Delilah's world lit up. But she didn't show it on her face. She never showed any emotion on her face except the annoyed one. That was her signature look.

"When and why?" Asked the girl who was very much bored by the world. That's Rebecca.

"In a week. He will be completing his senior year here with us. He is so over boarding school." Said Hannah taking a big bite of her burger.

"There goes another pound of fat down her ass." Thought Delilah as she looked at Hannah's face.

"Finally. He was douche to go there in the first place." Said Xav. Short for Xavier. He and Aiden were best friends. Bros before hoes kind of buddies. Until Aiden wanted to get away from Richmond High. Away from LA. Away from everyone.

He left when they all were 15. It's been 2 years. Everything changes in 2 years. Almost everything.

But Delilah's feelings for him never changed. They may have been dulled with time but not changed. She liked him and she still does have that spark for him in her heart.

"So are you excited for him to come back?" This was Delilah asking her question after everyone's.

"Yeah, I guess. I mean we were good. You know how cousins are." She said in a monotone.

"Actually I don't. I don't have any. Cousins or siblings or whatever." Said Delilah and the table became quiet. Nobody knew how to reply to it.

"Relax guys. I don't want that sympathy face."

"We aren't giving any." Said Rebecca. Delilah flipped her a finger.

"Should we throw him like a welcome back party?" This came from Brayden.

Brayden and Rebecca have been dating since kindergarten. Its been forever for them and sometimes it gets annoying for Delilah to tolerate their love confessions and their Romeo Juliette drama. Who dates this long in today's age.

"Only if you guys want to . It's not mandatory." Said Hannah. She was now eating her fries. By this time Delilah was way too much annoyed by her. She took it from her and put it on the other side of the table.
