I wander around looking for a manhole, but I cannot find one for the life of me. I stop some Moroi and ask if there is any way to the sewers, but most of them don't know. I was lucky enough to come across a sewer worker though. "Can you show me to one of the entrances?" I ask. "Ok." He answers. I follow him down the street, and into an alley way. This seems strange, what kind of sewer entrance is placed in an alley? My doubts fade as I see the metal manhole a few feet away. Jack's doubts aren't though. 'Take a good sniff at the air.' He thinks. I sniff the air and smell a whole manner of things. The Moroi guy in front of me, a bunch of other Moroi and dahmpirs, the sewers below me, the bricks and concrete making up the buildings to my left and right, the trash in the dumpster at the end of the alley. The trash is by far the worst smell here. I look over at the dumpster against the back of the alley and notice something strange. It's not actually against the wall, it's a few feet off the wall. The light OCD in me can't handle it, so I step over the manhole and towards the dumpster to push it back. "No! Don't go over there." Says the Moroi man. "It's ok, I just need to push this back." I say. I take one last sniff as I get within a foot of the dumpster. I smell a dahmpir very close. Tyrone realizes it before I do. 'It's a trap!' He shouts in my head. Suddenly the dumpster is flung away from the wall and I have to jump on top of it to avoid being flattened. Behind it are a dahmpir I don't recognize, and Christian Ozera. I'm still crouched on the lid of the dumpster when the dahmpir rushes at me and tries to stake me. I dodge out of the way and pull out my new endorium dagger and throw it at him. It sinks into his neck and he drops to the ground. I pull out my sword and jump off the dumpster to deal with Ozera. He lights up the air in his hand and flings some fire at me. I have to teleport back so I don't get burned. He is still shooting fire spikes at me though, and I have to keep dodging left, right, and back. I hate fire so much and there is nothing I can do to stop him from shooting it at me. It's all about waiting for him to loose his energy now. I jump over the dumpster again and hide behind it. Ozera sprays a steady stream of fire against the other side for a few seconds, then stops. I stay hidden for a short while, but then I hear the manhole cover being lifted up and moved. I poke my head over the dumpster, just to have to dodge a fire ball aimed at my face. I wait for 2 seconds, then I vault over the dumpster and fling myself down the manhole. It's dark, but not for me. I see Ozera running through the puddles of water. I rush after him. He fires a few fire bolts at me over his shoulder. One hits my arm and I drop my sword. I got that sword for my birthday! I'll come back for it. I don't stop running, but reach over and rub the burn. I will get Dr. Screwtape to look at it later. Ozera stops shooting fire at me, probably to save the rest of his energy for running. Using magic takes a toll on the Moroi and they can only do it for a certain amount of time. He rounds a corner, and after a few seconds I'm rounding that corner myself. I'm suddenly in a huge, room-like alcove. There are people milling around training with melee and ranged weaponry and magic. Everyone stops when me and Ozera run in. "Kill him! He's with the endermen!" He shouts, diving behind some cover. Suddenly I'm under all kinds of fire. Gunfire, and magicfire alike. I teleport back around the corner and start running in the other direction. I'll come back later, with more troops. I keep running with dahmpirs hot on my trail until I find my sword on the ground. I scoop it up and immediately teleport back to Endromidus. I head to the clinic, cradling my arm the whole way. This will be fun, won't it? I enter the clinic and ask the receptionist for Screwtape. "He's dealing with another patient right now." She says. "When can I see him?" I ask. "In about five minutes." She answers. I nod. That'll do, I can survive the pain for that long. I wait five minutes, meet with Screwtape, get my arm treated and bandaged. I teleport to the front of my house and open the front door. "Serena?" I call. "I need to ta-" I'm cut off by the click of a hand gun being readied. I stop, and slowly turn my head to the sound. My eyes meet the barrel of a pistol. Holding he pistol is none other that Rosemarie Hathaway. "Don't. Move."
