Chapter 52
I pulled up behind a black S.U.V. I reached over a pulled out a handgun my dad gave me for my birthday two years ago. I got out of the truck and pointed it at the car. Cody was alright pointing his bow at it, armed with an arrow. Daniel came beside me holding the shotgun. A guy came out of the S.U.V holding his hands in the air, he had the same colour hair as Cassie, so this must be Levi. Zahara wrapped her arms around Violet, Levi fell to his knees. Daniel, Cody, and I, booked it to the door and flung it open. I could tell Cassie was in front of us, by her hair and coat. Her hair was somehow still straight, split by her shoulders. She spun facing us, my eyes widened. She looked pissed. Her eyes squinted into a glare. Did I do something? She turned and faced a women, who must be Anjelica, her slutty clothing giving her away. "Drop the weapons! Now!", Anjelica yelled. I heard Zahara and Violet scream from behind me. Cassie pushed past us.
My chest hit Daniel, as we both fell to the ground. The shotgun clattered across the ground. I looked up and saw Cody release the arrow, it shot through the air. Anjelica ducked, the arrow just missing her by an inch. I jumped to my feet, Anjelica's revolver was pointed at me. Daniel jumped in front of me, the gun shot hitting him in the chest. I moved out of the way as he fell out of the doorway. A man, I just met, just risked his life for me. I couldn't breathe. Anjelica ran to Cody and pushed him into me. We both fell to the ground. I saw Anjelica run outside. I heard sirens. I jumped up and saw Cassie over Daniels, now dead body. I saw Anjelica get into the black S.U.V. Cody armed an arrow into his bow and shot it at the car window. It shattered. Anjelica drive off in the opposite direction of the sirens. i wrappedI pulled her into my arms and held her. Cody carried Violet over to where we were Violet hugged Cassie with a bloody arm. Cassie wrapped her arms around the three of us. I wonder if Zahara's still alive. Cassie screamed at the top of her lungs. We let her.
