I watched as my mom pulled up into the hospital parking lot. She quickly got out of her car, and ran over to me. Unlike me, she had locked her car.
I was still crying. I hardly noticed that my mom was still in her pajamas.
"Jason, what happened?" My mom put her arms around me, and even though I was crying I kind of wished she wouldn't do that. It was embarrassing.
"Ellie c-committed s-suicide!" I half shouted, half cried. "I t-tried to s-stop it, but, she d-didn't listen."
"I-is she dead?" My mom asked, her eyes wide in shock.
"N-no. Not yet. We can save her in the next t-twelve hours if we get enough m-money for a b-blood surgery. There was a l-lot of blood that she l-lost."
"Won't her mom pay for it?" My mother asked. "Here, take me to Ellie's room."
"No. Her mom's a jerk." I said, wiping my tears.
