America muttered obscenities under his breath as he scrolled through his contacts. He's been trying to pull a team of nations together to sneak in Asia.

No one had replied.

Either they were busy dealing with their country's economy or they didn't want to see him. Then again, he was a bit insensitive to them before.

Karma was coming back to bite him in the ass for being a SOB.

Italy was locked in his room for a while now. Romano had given up coaxing him out of that place. He had just placed a tray in front of the locked door every meal time now.

They had given the cold shoulder to the whole of Europe save for certain countries. It was driving Romano kind of crazy to be honest.

Thank God for small favours that came in the form of Iceland

Hungary was housing a Prussian.

Said Prussian's brother was in a workaholic mood, foregoing all interaction. Even with his own brother living under his own house. Hence, why he sought refuge at his childhood friend's house.

And to raid her fridge and take full advantage of a Hungarian woman's hospitality.

He wasn't sure going to France's and Spain's house would be a good idea. Spain was swinging between pride and sadness for his "precious Hija's" achievement, and France was just numbly going through his day-to-day routine.

Canada declined his brother's call for the nth time this day, his phone's screen fading to black again.

It wasn't that he was busy, but because he thinks it's about time his brother needed to learn his lesson. They often had hushed arguments behind closed doors which always ends up with him shaking his head remorsefully at America's figure stomping away like the giant he feels he is.

"Do you think I'm doing the right thing, Kumajirou?" Canada asked, voice barely a whisper, while petting the bear.

"Yes."

Perhaps it was the heartbroken and barely pulled together look Canada had that reminded Kumajirou of a young boy with similar expression, and looked remarkably liked his current owner, that prompted the creature to answer coherently.

Startled, Canada stared at the bear who was staring back at him fearlessly. He found his eyes pooling up with tears as nostalgia shot through his heart.

But he would never know why.

Philippines was soaking up the information stored in rolls of papyrus Japan had given her.

His earlier call was of them. He had discovered it at a storage room while spring cleaning. She almost throttled him when she found out the reason why, but was grateful nonetheless.

She had thought something went wrong, or that the Western Nations had tried to make moves to destroy the Wall.

Wow, even in her thoughts, the word was capitalized.

Anyway, Japan had drilled into her that these papyrus rolls were not to be meddled with or damaged. At all.

She gave a heavy sigh, rubbing her eyes.

It gave additional information to what she already knew, but most were entirely new to her. It was refreshing to know, and fill in the blank spaces Spain and America left her.

India was finally spending bro-time with Pakistan, after being hogged by Indonesia.

This time, they would sort out their differences. They never really had a chance with America butting in, and adding his unneeded two cents.

****

China was sipping his tea, absently staring at his garden, his usually aching back was now just a throb now and then. Maybe it was the coward in him that had agreed to the prospect of the Wall.

He didn't want to fade like the Ancients before him.

Hello, hello. As you can see my writing style has changed a wee bit and I have noticed that my previous chapters were a lil mediocre. However, I swear that I'm gonna improve this thing. 😘
