***Leigh's POV***

I rolled over and gripped Mike tight. I had dreamt that I never woke up, doomed forever into the darkness I was once in. I felt his arm in my hand and left my rigid state.  "Mike," I whispered quietly into the night. I felt his lips press against my forehead softly.

"I'm here, Leigh. You're okay, now," he breathed quietly from the night. I listened to his heart beat quietly until I drifted back to sleep, his hand moving effortlessly through my hair.

When I woke up, Mike was not in the bed and Skylar was not in her crib. I smiled and sat up slowly. Mike had been letting me sleep in every day since I had returned home. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and stretched. I was in one of Mike's hoodies again, and there was room enough for 3 more of me.

I slowly made my way downstairs, pantsless still since we finally had the house to ourselves because Jaime and Vic had gone upstate to write. "Good morning, Mikey," I said lightly from the bottom of the stairway. He snapped his head away from the eyes of our baby girl and looked at me.

"Good morning," he beamed. "You look beautiful."

"Bullshit," I chuckled and meandered to the kitchen to find breakfast. I fixed a bowl of cereal and walked back into the living room. I sat at Mike's feet and ate slowly.

"Leigh, I've got a question," Mike mumbled slowly.

"What's up, buttercup?" I giggled and rested my head on his knee.

"When you first had Sky, and you uh-" he held his breathe and let it out slowly. "When that happened, the doctor said that you're cardiologist should have warned us.." he trailed off and I felt his eyes drilling into me. I nodded slightly and put my bowl on the carpet.

"When my mother was pregnant with me, she smoked. Long story short, I was born with a heart defect, and it's not going to kill me, but it keeps me from doing a lot." I sighed and pulled my knees closer to my chest. "I should have told you, I know, but I was scared.

"Of what, Leigh?" he sighed and I could almost hear the disappointment in his voice.

"Of how you would react, Michael!" I yelled and tried to relax. "Who wants to have a kid with someone who could birth a sick child?" I mumbled and felt my eyes swell with tears.

"And because you didn't tell me, I almost lost the love of my life, Leigh!" Silence fell, and I couldn't breathe. I felt panic washing over me and tears spill over. "Oh, babe, don't cry," he sighed.

"Michael, I'm so sorry I didn't tell you," I cried and laid on the carpet. I closed my eyes and sobbed uncontrollably.

***Mike's POV***

"Leigh, I'm not angry. Please don't cry.." I mumbled. I pulled her closer to me and plopped Skylar on top of her tummy. Leigh's crying stopped immediately and she grabbed Skylar from me. She sat up slowly, and I could see the love wash over her face.

She sniffled quietly and giggled softly. "She has your eyes," Leigh choked out between small sobs. I moved closer and wrapped my arms around Leigh's waist.

"But she's got your lips and nose," I smiled and pressed my lips to her cheek. "I love you," I mumbled.

"I love you, too," she choked out. "And you, too, little missy," she whispered to our baby girl. We sat like this for a while, just me, my wife, and my daughter. After a few minutes, Leigh turned to me and smiled. "Let's go get breakfast?"

"Come on," I smiled and stood to my feet.

I sat on the edge of our bed and waited for Leigh. She had gone to rock Skylar to sleep for the first time. She had finally gotten all her energy back. I smiled when the door creaked open and her small frame slipped in. She left it cracked so we could here if Sky started crying, and then she made her way to bed.

"Turn that phone off," she giggled and grabbed it from my hand. She set it on my nightstand and then crawled on top of me. "I'm glad things are back to the way they were," she whispered. I smiled and nodded before I let my lips find hers in the dark room. I grabbed her hips, softly at first, and then before I knew it, my grip was tight and my kisses were rough. "Mike," she moaned softly against my lips.

I pulled away and swallowed hard. "I'm sorry," I sighed and let go of her. I tried to sit back, and she pulled me closer.

"Don't be," she giggled and pulled me on top of her.  I smiled and ran my hands inside of the hoodie she was wearing, feeling her body all over until I pulled the hoodie off completely. "I love you."

"I love you, too, Leigh," I whispered, pulling her pants off quickly, unable to control myself now. I wiggled my boxers down and looked down at her for a while before pushing myself inside of her. I smiled and pushed slowly, watching her moan and squirm under me.

"Mike!" she exclaimed and a smile spread on her face. I grabbed her hips and thrust faster now, watching her body arch and her face tense, forming screams and then slowly letting them out. I ran my hands across her body, pulling her closer to me, and thrusting as fast and hard as I could until she let out one loud scream and her body went limp.

I pulled out and bent over to kiss her softly. I laid beside her and pulled her over onto my chest. We sat in silence for a while and our heart beats were so loud that we could hear them. After a while, she rolled and looked at me. "Don't ever make me live without you," she whispered and fell asleep slowly on my chest.
