The Boy and The Giant
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" A male voice screamed from out of nowhere. "I'M CALLING THE POLICE FOR TRESPASSING!" I looked behind me, I saw a man with a phone pressed against his ear.
Damn it... Its never easy...
Its always that one guy that has to spoil the fun! This could of been so much easier.
"Wait! What are you doing?! Put me down!" I was so lost in thought I haven't realized Tall-A was walking with the man in his hand.
Tall-A walked past us with the man trying to break free from the grasp he was in, it seemed inevitable he was going to escape. I turned around, wondering what Tall-A was about to do with his life sized ken doll.
It took me completely by surprise when he opened the door to the cage he was in and simply threw the man in there. The man tried to run back out but Tall-A already closed the door. My dad quickly locked it soon after.
"Sirens are getting closer. I don't think your mom is going to get here fast enough... We only have one option. Thomas come on! We'll take the car. I'm sure Tall-A remembers his way back."
"But I don't wanna leave Tall-A by himself." I countered.
"Thomas! He can't fit in the car. I haven't even called your mom yet! By the time she gets here we'll be in handcuffs." The police sirens sounded so close to us right now, they could be busting through any minute.
What could we do?! Wait, why didn't I think of that sooner... It's perfect!
Riding a giant into battle! Flipping trucks over!
I just needed to ride him!
"Dad! Go to the car! I'll meet you at home!" I demanded.
"What are you crazy?!" He retorted.
"No! Just go! I know what I'm doing! Trust me!" I looked at my dad who had a shocked expression plastered on his face. "Please..." I said.
Dad gave me slight nod before running out of the circus tent. "Tall-A..." I nonchalantly said. "You probably don't want to do this... But if you want out of the circus.. You gotta trust me." I turned over to the giant who seemed to be looming over me. "Can I ride you?" I asked.
Tall-A eyes widened probably shocked from the question I asked. He really shouldn't be because he let the announcer ride him.
"Tall-A miss giving little one rides...." A very deep voice said that made jump out of boots literally. He spoke... Tall-A actually had spoken... It wasn't fluent English, I barely understood what he said but he had spoken!
"You do speak..." I said. He simply smiled. Whoa! That's the first time I've actually seen him smile. Good grief that was just amazing! "Well... Still gonna give me that lift?" I asked with hope in my eyes.
Tall-A wasted no time grabbing me, picking me up, and setting me on his giant shoulders. His head alone was the size of my whole torso! I wrapped my legs around his neck so I wouldn't fall off and slightly leaned forward just so I could have a stable grip on him. This was so cool! It was like riding a two legged giraffe. I looked down to the ground, I haven't realized how high I was.
Tires could be heard screeching against asphalt outside. "Crap! We gotta go! You know your way back home?" I patted the top of his head. He nodded and began walking towards the entrance we came in from earlier. Tall-A pushed up the pieces of curtain to the side, we were greeted by five squad cars parked in a line. Officers had guns drawn right at us. "HOL- No one told me the giant was loose!" One of the officers yelled. I knew they weren't going to shoot us, shooting us would result in my demise.
