you were the ocean
and i was the sun
and the world has told us
time and time again
that we could not be togethermillions of miles apart
distance is constricted by time
and time constricted by distance.i only ever wanted to know your grey
your early morning coasts
and the wild evening tsunamis
but i'm afraid our love
was unconventional.they called it sin
i thought it was magic
nature told you that you must
be like your sisters
be with a man and love him
and not her,and god forbid you ever think
about loving them.i would have traveled galaxies
just to know you
but i am afraid they got to you
took you and molded you
into what they wanted you to be
and if i am being honest,i do not know a more bittersweet
ending than ours.by miranda.
