Chapter 5

As I ran through the portables I couldn't help but keep watching them struggle in the heels.

"ARE THOSE A PAIN TO RUN IN"I shouted at them

"What are you doing?"Jessica asked right beside me

"Having a laugh seeing them struggle"I chuckled

"You know they don't know English"

"They should have English class everyday have them figure it out"

"NOW I KNOW WHY BEAUTY IS PAIN"she yelled out

"That's the spirit"

"Left"

"What?"

"Take a left"she said taking a left running through the entrance through the gym.i followed her through the gym and into the hallway.We stopped to catch our breath as we both leaned on the wall and had our laughing fit.

"Well that is a perfect way to start my day"I said finishing my laughter

"Yeah well basically the start of my day every day"she said getting up from the wall straightening her uniform and turn towards me."so where is your classroom?"

"Umm...I don't know I'm kinda confused by this"I said handing her a slip of paper from my satchel.

"Oh your room is right across mine,how did I not know that?"she asked turning to me.

"How would I know I just got here"

"Right well follow me"she said and started walking down the halls and I quickly followed.We passed by the entrance with quite a few people.

"Shoot"I heard Jessica's voice beside me which made me turn towards her.she ducked covering her face with her hand.

"What are you doing?"I asked

"Hiding"she replied with a whisper

"From what?we lost them"

"I know that but that's not what my problem right now"

"What is?"

"Taylor's boyfriend"she whispered which made me turn back to the entrance so I could find them but I could see quite a lot of other students how would I find him.i looked all around but didn't think anybody could be him.i looked by the cafeteria seeing three guys talking.There was a really short guy which looks like he was complaining I guess.Seems like he didn't get breakfast.a tall guy trying to calm him down and the third one just standing with them.I couldn't make out any other face than him which made me stare at him longer.Its rude to stare Nicole I said in my head but I can't seem to take my eyes off him.He was something but I couldn't find a word to describe it.i continue to daze at him which made him notice and look back at me.We made eye contact for a few seconds before realizing that he is staring at me which made me turn my head and look down while I was walking feeling my cheeks heat up as I walked.

"Do you see him?"she asked.

"I don't know"i said walking behind her casually getting close to the end of the hall.how much longer is it gonna take?.I looked at my feet while we walked not even bothering to look but up until Jessica stopped.I didn't noticed and it it ended up with her elbow hitting my gut.

"Why did you stop"i groaned leaning over putting my hand on my stomach that ached.

"Because we are here" she said holding my head with one hand and turned it towards the door.So that's my class.

"You could have told me so I wouldn't end up with you hitting my gut"

"Sorry.....come on,quick get inside"

"Why?"

"They're down the hall"she said quickly sliding the door and into the classroom.i stood up straight and turned my head to the left to see those same girls and three guys walking down towards me.It was the boy I saw earlier walking down with the girl with blonde hair.they were walking down with his arm over her shoulder and she holding his hand.there were more people a taller guy talking to the girl with black hair and a shorter guy walking with the girl with brown hair.
I suddenly didn't want to see that sight anymore.i could feel my heart pound through my ears and I felt really down.as I gazed to them the boy holding the blonde girls hand looked at me with the most cold face.i immediately looked down and slowly opened my classroom door and walked in closing the door behind me.

"Who were those guys?"I ask with a quiet voice leaning on the desk closest to the door.

"Jackson,Karry,and Roy"

"Which ones which?"

"Karry is the tallest one and Roy is the shortest one"

"Now tell me who's who with those three girls we ran away from"

"Taylor has blonde hair,Tiffany has black hair and Anna has brown"

"Why do you like him?"

"What"

"Karry,why do you like him?"I asked her

"Well me and Karry were best friends ever since elementary school and then she Tiffany stole him away in the freshman year"

"Oh how-"I tried to ask how but I got cut off by the bell.

"Bye Nicole meet me across the hallway at lunch"she said walking out the door and into the room across from me.i waited leaning on the wall next to the door waiting for the teacher to come in.Other students came in and sat down in their seats.the second bell rang and the teacher came in with a cup of coffee setting it at his desk and turning around to see me still leaning on the wall.

"You're the new student,yes?"he asked walking to me.he was American with brown hair and a blue eyes.i quickly nodded at him."welcome to our school"he said his voice was calming.like would want to be welcomed in this school.
"Class today we have a new student"he said as everyone looked up to me.most of the student were American."Her name is Nicole Manner and she came from Washington D.C."he said.i felt pairs of eyes stare holes through me.
"Why don't you sit next to ms.Abby she sitting at the desk closest to the door.i turned my head to the desk I leaned at seeing a girl buried in her book.what was she reading?I walked over to the chair next to her and walked to that seat.

"Hi"i said to her putting my satchel next to my desk.

"Hey"she replied looking to me.she wore glasses but it looked cute on her with black hair pushed to the side.

"My names Nicole,what's yours"

"Abby,Abby Wu"

"Abby's a nice name,I'm from Washington D.C"

"Vancouver"

"Vancouver,Canada or Vancouver,Washington?"

"Canada"

"Really so-" I tried to act what Canada is like but the teacher talked over us.

"OK class get out your math textbooks and let's continue with out lesson"he said and everyone immediately grabbed their notebooks from their bags as I followed.

This is gonna be a fantastic day.i'm already want lunch I'm hungry.
