A new beginning
The return of The Bandit
“Ha ha ha. You really believe that silly story of that old hag.” I said while my grandpa was telling an old story about my great great great great great grandpa, King Henry the XI. He keeps saying that he was this hero to his kingdom. I jumped off the couch and went to get a drink from the fridge. “Why haven’t I heard about any other “bandit” in our family?” I asked as I sat down.
I’m Jacob Spikes. May not have the same last name as my old grandpa but I have my mom’s last name. I don’t know why she would marry a guy like my dad. He’s the worst but it’s what I have to go through. I’m eighteen and acting like this. I haven’t really thought about college but I know that I have to start now!
Well let me start by saying I am the next generation of the “bandit” that my grandpa has been talking about. I say it’s a big hoax and their playing a joke on me. I find out that it might lead me into a lot of trouble between school and my personal life. Hope you can help me. Now here is how it began:
I woke up and see my clock. It reads “8:30”. I quickly grab my clothes and run to the bathroom. I grab my toothbrush and start brushing my teeth fast.
I run downstairs and grab a piece of toast. I grab my skateboard with a little bite of my toast and skate out of the house.
I really live in a quiet neighborhood. Nothing too big or nothing too small. I skate to school while my friend, Nicole. “Hey, Jacob. I haven’t seen you since that christmas party.” Nicole said. I grab her hand and tell her, “Don’t worry about me. Worry about the future.” She quickly pushed me off. We both start cracking up and walk into class.
I jump into a seat until one of the “guys” come into the room and push me out of it. I get up and finally start fighting back. “You will not push me around anymore.” I yelled and I pushed him right back.
He quickly grabs my arm and I quickly hit him in a pressure point. He falls to one knee and I put my arm back ready to kill him, until Nicole grabs my arm and sets it down. I sit down and rest. “Jacob, get out of my room!!!!!!!” yelled my teacher.
I end up leaving school early. I was walking home when I hear Nicole’s voice. “Jacob, where are you going?” I quickly tell her my house. She gives me a hug and I get this feeling like I never had before. We let go of each other and wave good bye.
I walk down a little farther to my grandpa’s house. I knock on his old creaky door until it just opened slowly. I walk through and yelling “GRANDPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I find a letter on his cabinet. It read, “You (Jacob) must find the special key to which it opens to a secret room in the house. You find a suit with special armor and weapons. Please use these weapons in good use for which I am going to be gone for two years.”
I quickly drop the letter and scavenge around the house. I never knew what his “special” key was. I knew he really liked me. He thought I was his own child. I quickly go to the frames with me on them. He has multiples of them. I quickly look at one and throw it in the air. I finally got to the last one until I found a secret button under the photo. I pressed it and the floor quickly rose up.
I looked around the floor for a little hint of it being a hoax. I jump in and see a bright light in the distance. I run into the room and I find exactly what grandpa had said there would be. I looked at the suit and it was state of the art armor he put into it. I put on the suit and I looked like a masked bandit.
There was a little target practice on the far left. I went up to it and practiced. I know that I shouldn’t have been playing around with the weapons but yet they were so cool. I climbed back out and I heard a buzzing sound from the living room.
I quietly walked to the room and, “Hello! I am 04a-3r6t5-67 or you may call me Mary.” I jumped back for a moment. I took a deep breath and said,
“You are?” as I was putting my hand up to ask.
“I am Mary. I am your servant for two years. I will help you fulfill your destiny.”
“Ummmm. I don’t think that’s real. I don’t believe any of this is real.”
The robot stopped talking and put up a screen.
“This is your task. Complete it and you will be awarded.”
I quickly grabbed the printed paper and over read it. I looked at the screen confused. She simply told me to go. It was 3:30 by the time I left. I walked down the street and minded my own business until I was shocked in the ear. I knew it was joke but the robot forced me to go do the duty.
I quickly got to 21st and Jackson Ave. I saw the person that had to be executed. It was James Morgan. One of the most powerful person in the world. He was a very arrogant man. I simply went up the elevator to the floor he was.
He was just sitting in his chair. “Who are you?” He said as he turned in his seat. He faced me and boom. I got him with a ninja star. I grabbed his body and put it in a closet. I didn’t feel right doing this. I had to leave a mark though. I left bloody letter saying, “BANDIT.”

I started running towards the window before anyone came up. I jumped out and landed on a car. I quickly ran back to my house. I shut the door quickly so no one could see me. My mom yelled across the kitchen saying, “Hey!!!! There was this pretty girl that asked for you. I think her name was..... Nicole.” I quickly asked where she went and she said to the park. I told her I was leaving for awhile.
I quickly ran to the park until I saw Nicole swinging by herself. I was about to make my move until a guy came and grabbed her arm. “Bzzzzzzz. This is Mary. We have a guy that is harassing a girl at the park. Please execute him.” I quickly put my mask on and my suit and jumped out the bushes.
I quickly jumped onto the ground and put my fists up. “Hey, I didn’t expect anyone here.” He quickly ran up to me and tried to punch me. I quickly popped his elbow out of place and pushed him on the ground. “Quickly execute him!!!!!” I grabbed a ninja star and pulled my arm back until Nicole held me back.
“You don’t have to do this.” She said as she was pushing me back.
“Man, I was just trying to get money from her.” He said has he rolling on the ground in pain.
I quickly held back and jumped in the air. I landed right on top of him. “If you ever hurt her again, I will find you and I will kill you.” I pulled him up and pushed him away. I saw Nicole crying on the slide. I walked towards her until she yelled stop. “I don’t want you near me. I don’t trust you.” I looked at her with a blank face until I found out that I had to leave.
I put away my stuff and walked towards the park. I saw that Nicole left so I felt like a big idiot. I quickly ran to my house and went to sleep.
