"So he just kissed you? And said he wanted to ever since?" Nicole said after I told her about my first kiss.

"I'm happy for you girl, but it doesn't seem right."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know, he is James the school player. He has a reputation."

"Nic what are you saying?"

"I don't think he meant it"

"Are you jealous!?" I look at Nicole, with a but of disgust.

"What?" She gives out a little laugh. "Why would I be jealous?!

I'm just saying. Ok think about it what's going to happen now between the two of you?"

I thought about it for a while. I'm not sure where I quiet stand.

"Well I don't know, I guess I'll just go ask him." I say striding.

I found him outside on a bench surrounded by his friends. His back facing me.

"Dude! She totally fell for it! Guess I won the bet! Pay up fellas!" James says with enthusiasm to his friends.

It felt like my world had just stopped. My heart being ripped out of chest.

Stay strong, just don't cry here.

I walk up behind James.

"Hey James." I say with a smile. He stands up and faces.

"Ah hey." He says with a bit if worry.

"So since your friends are paying up I thought I'd pay yo as well for what you did." I say before I hand went across his face giving him a slap.

Shock spread against his group of friends and people around. By then Nicole was near me.

"Let's go (Y/N) don't waste your time here." Nicole said placing her hands around my shoulder and taking me out if there.

"(Y/N) wait! It's not what you think it is! (Y/N)!" James yells as I walk away.

Tears start to fall. Man I hate crying in public!

I try holding them back but I couldn't. Thank god school was almost over I couldn't wait till I reach home!

"Do you want me to stay over?" Nicole offered after walking me home.

"Thank you, but it's alright. I just want to be left alone."

"Ok if you need anything just give me call." She says giving me a hug before walking off.

I ran inside and up to my room, threw my bag on the ground and jumped on the bed. My face but tied in my pillow. I couldn't hold back the tears any longer.

I've always heard that crying makes the weight lighter. So why now just cry.

"(Y/N) honey? There's someone at the door for you." Mum said from the other side of the closed door.

"(y/n)" she says knocking on the door.

"Yea I'm coming." I say getting up and wiping the tears. I looked at myself in the mirror to make sure it doesn't look like I was crying.

I headed downstairs to the front door.

"Yes?" I say opening the door to their back facing me.

"(Y/N)" James says.

"Go away!" I say closing the door.

He stops it before I completely close on his face.

"Please (Y/N) can we talk?"

"I don't want to talk to you and there's nothing to talk about" I say the door at closing point.

"Yes there is, you have it all wrong. Just hear me out please?"

He looked at me with guilty eyes.

"Fine. Talk!" I say stepping outside on the pitch and closing the door behind me.

"What do I have wrong?"

"Everything! Ok yes the guys made a bet about us kissing. But the kiss we had, the feelings I have for you are real." James starts and goes on about it. We gradually sit down move towards the porch steps and sit down.

"Why should I believe you?" I ask after he's done talking.

"You're right why should you. I just came here to let you know the truth and if you don't believe it, then it's my problem." James says standing up. "If you like we could be friends, you're too special and I don't want to lose you."

There's a brief silence before James starts to walk off.

"James wait." I gave a brief thought of what I was going to say next. I stood up next to him.

"Hi I'm (Y/N), I moved here recently." I say giving my hand forwards.

A smile spreads across James' face he looks as the ground then back up.

"Hi I'm James, a pleasure to met you." He says shaking my hand.
