Chapter 6 the dark is haunting

KID'S POV

Kira was sitting in the living room waiting for me to come in and give her something to eat. I was making a quick salad because she had said that she just wanted something small and easy to eat. When she hugged me from behind, I don't know but I felt like I wanted to kiss her but stopped myself and just turned around and hugged her back. I wonder why she is afraid of the dark and I wonder if Soul knows about it. Hah oh well.

I walked into the living room and she jumped, it was like she did not like the dark at all I wonder if her meister Jack knows about it. I gave her her salad and sat next to her.

I started to search through channels and out of the corner of my eye I see her nod at a certain channel so I keep it on that one and start to eat my salad while we watch a movie about vampires. I was not really interested in it but Kira seemed to like it.

It was about an hour into the movie and I realised that she had finished eating her salad so I got her bowl out of her hands and placed her bowl and mine on the coffee table. She then came closer to me and rested her head on my chest I did not know what to do, so I put my arm around her and just relaxed. I felt her sigh in to my chest and just held her.

It must have been like an hour before I noticed that the time was 10pm we had to get up early in the morning for school so I had to get her to bed. I know that Patti and Jack were asleep I am hoping that Liz has put some clothes on her bed for her. I start to move and Kira groans she must of fallen asleep maybe I should just stay here. But it is uncomfortable we would be better in our beds.

"Kira it is time to go to sleep we have early classes in the morning". I said in to her ear softly. She heard me and sat bolt upright. Then got dizzy and I had to catch her before she fell off the couch.

"Please I can't be alone in that room they will get me Kid I want to stay with you please I can't go in that room I can't be alone". She whimpered Kira wouldn't even let me get up.

I had my arm around her back so I put my other arm under her knees and while standing up myself I lifted her up and walked to my room. I laid her down on the bed and got on the bed myself. As soon as I was on the bed Kira rolled around so she was facing me and put her arms around me and put her head on my chest.

I did not know what to do but it was comfortable, and if we stay like this I am sure to get a scolding in the morning from Liz but I couldn't let her go. Liz and I aren't dating but she acts like my mother sometimes other times not so much. I couldn't let her go back to her room like that so I just put my arms around her and put my head on the pillow and fell asleep. It felt right, natural to hold her like that. I do not know who they were but I would protect her from them.
