Chapter 4:Why Must Love Be So Difficult!?

Brianna's POV:
We finally got back to the zoo and Kowalski took me to the lemur habitat on his own since the others wanted to get some sleep.  He smiled at me and I smiled back, pretending to be happy that I was rescued.  "Thanks Kowalski, it was a nightmare in that place."  I said.

Kowalski just shrugged slightly.  "It's just my duty to help."  He replied.  He then leaned closer to my face until his beak pressed against my lips in a possessive kiss.  I slowly kissed back.  'Wait, what am I doing!?'  I thought to myself as my eyes snapped open.  I pulled away and covered my face from his sight.

I stole a look at the look of confusion shown on his face.  "I'm sorry, I'm just having a hard time right now."  I said quickly.  I then leapt over the wall of my habitat and into the otter habitat.  I got to Marlene's room and shook her awake while calling out her name.  When she finally woke up, she looked at me and sat up on her bed.

She yawned and smiled at me.  "What's the trouble Brianna?"  She asked.  I sighed and steeled myself for what I was about to say.

"IloveKowalskiandIalsoloveBlowholebutIdon'tknowwhattodosoIneedyoutohelpme."  I said a little to quickly for her to catch on.

Marlene blinked a bit.  "In english please."  She said.  I sighed again.  Curse me and my fast talking.

I steeled myself again and spoke.  "I love Dr. Blowhole, yet I also love Kowalski and I need your help."  I explained, slower this time.  Marlene gasped and I jumped back slightly.

"You are in a dangerous love triangle, especially if both of them love you."  She told me.  I shivered at her words.

I then heaved out a heavy sigh in depression.  "Why must love be so complicated?"  I asked.  Marlene just laughed at my question.

I raised a brow and she controlled her laughter.  "No one ever said love would be easy, believe me, I know."  She said.  I sighed and nodded my head again.  I went back to the lemur habitat to a way to hyper Mort and ringtail.  I frowned and turned to Maurice.

"Maurice, why are they hyper so early in the morning?"  I asked slightly irritated.  He just shrugged.

"They were like this when I woke up, I have no clue what happened."  He replied.  I sighed again and went to my little secluded part of the habitat.

I lied down and rested my head on my front paws.  "Oh, Blowy, where are you?"  I asked myself.  I sighed again and decided to try and go to sleep.  I played some quiet music on an iPod I found and it helped me fall straight to sleep.

Dr. Blowhole's POV:
"Oh, Blowy, where are you?"  I heard Brianna say as she laid her head down on her front two paws.  I sighed sadly as I watched her fall asleep to the sweet melodies on her iPod.  I then pulled up the plans of world domination and went to the meeting room.  All of my minions were already assembled and I made my way to the front to begin the meeting.

"All right, let's go through the plans once more.  All of the lobsters are going to distract the zoo animals while I get Brianna and bring her back to the lair.  Then the next morning, we'll make sure to capture the peng-U-ins so that we can take over all of N.Y.C. afterwards.  Make sure nothing can allow them to escape."  I ran through the plans again with them and they all nodded in response.  "All right, let's go get Brianna."  I ordered.  They all got up and left for the exit.  We came face-to-face with New York and it took no time at all to reach the Central Park Zoo.

I laughed at our success so far and made my way near the lemur habitat outside of the zoo while I waited for the commotion to start.  I then heard some screams of terror and grappled over the wall.  I landed right next to Brianna and gently picked her up bridal style, being careful as to not wake her.  As soon as I stood up completely, a trap was deployed, placing me in a cage in the position I'm at.  Kowalski came out from the bushes and glared at me.  I glared back as he approached the cage.  "It seems I've finally caught you in the act of kidnapping Brianna, Blowhole."  He growled.

I just growled right back at him.  "That's what you think, Kowalski.  For all your brains, I'm surprised you haven't seen it yet."  I seethed at him and smirked at the confused expression on his face.  The ground began to shake and out popped Crome Claw standing in between the two of us.  I laughed silently and pushed a button on my scooter, activating my bigger subterranean attack pod while breaking the cage.  I rolled up next to crome claw and deactivated the attack pod.

I smirked some more as Kowalski's feet wouldn't let him move.  "Well, Kowalski, it looks like I win.  Farewell."  I said.  I disappeared in the water with my air bubble surrounding Brianna and I.  I looked down at her sleeping face while smiling slightly.  "Kowalski won't touch you anymore, I'm going to keep you safe."  She sighed while smiling and curled up against my chest, making me smile and blush ever so slightly.  I cleared my throat slightly and pushed my blush down.  When we arrived my underwater lair, I took Brianna to my room, placed her on my bed and left for the meeting room once again.

Everyone was waiting patiently and I smirked.  "Did one of you get the power cell?"  I asked.  My lead minion pulled it out of a hidden pocket and handed it over.  I looked it over as my smirk grew wider and my brain got to work on so many more plans I could do.  "This mind control MP3 will work more on ACTUAL mind control than it does making people sing.  You're all dismissed to get ready for the take over."  I announced.  They all left and I went to my room.  I laid on my bed as I pulled Brianna into my warm embrace.  She laid her head on my chest and I kissed her head.  After that, I closed my eyes and let the darkness consume me, knowing full well that the base was safe and that I held the love of my life in my protective/possessive embrace.
