The snow outside slowly piled up outside, like a blanket covering the barren ground.

You sat in your little cottage in the taigas of Iceland, where you lived with your husband of 3 years, Emil. You lay on your bed as the warmth of the fire and blanket held you in an embrace. Your (e/c) eyes stared out from the frozen window, trying to search for the small figure that was Emil. Emil has gone into the nearby town to search for the doctor.

It was your idea to live in the middle of nowhere since you thought that the fresh air and quiet atmosphere could do your body some good. You were bedridden for most of your life, and your disease seems to ruin every relationship and happiness you can find. Emil was an exception, he stayed with you for 3 years and he showered you with patience and love. He did everything, he can and went along with your stubborn and childish behaviors. Emil has been gone for a few hours and the snowstorm was getting heavier and heavier. You needed to find him

Currently, you were bedridden once again, your body was burning with a fever and every few minute you slip away from life and get closer and closer to death. You sat up on your bed, regaining your consciousness as your sweat soaked (h/c) hair cast over your face. You threw the blanket off your body and slowly try to climb off your bed. You dragged your fragile body towards the door, putting on your (f/c) coat and opening the door. The cold breeze blew into the house, chilling your overheated body to the core. The harsh snow scratched at your sensitive skin, leaving invisible marks on it. You stepped into the snow as your feet sunk into the inches of white powder. You pushed your body through the snow, as the wind pushed you back. This process went on for an hour or two, losing track of time.

Your body felt heavier and heavier, and your vision begins to blur. You tried moving forward, but the weight was too much and you fell over into the snow. You lay there looking at the gray clouds that covered the vast blue sky, as the snow fell down harshly onto your skin. Your consciousness begins to slip away as you slowly closed your eyes. All you heard was the sound of someone's faint cries and screams as you were pulled into a tight embrace. Their soft hands touched your cold body, pushing away the (h/c) hair that covered your beautiful face.

They kissed you, as your eyes slowly open squinting at the bright light. It was Emil. You smiled and stretched your hands out to wipe the tears that fell from his lavender eyes. His hands cradled yours, and he lets out a relieved smile.

"I was so worried, I didn't know what I would've done I..If you didn't s..survive, (y/n), I wouldn't be able to forgive myself." He said. You shook your head and said, "Emil, it was my fault...I knew it was dangerous, but I still di.." Emil put his finger to your mouth and nodded with understanding. "Let's get back to the cottage," he said as he lifts you up on his small, yet sculpted shoulders. You rested your head on his back as the warmth of his body draws you into a sleep.
