I came back to school the next day. N one seemed to really noticed I was gone yesterday. Again..fine with me. I was in 5th class, the one before lunch, when Josh texted me " Wanna come 2 my house after school". I looked at him and nodded.
Soon enough the bell rang for lunch. Finally. When I was walking through the hall to lunch a girl stepped in my way. She was popular looking..but kinda beefy at the same time. "You scared yet?" She asked intimidatingly. "Oh yes I'm so scared." I said sarcastically. She grunted. "My friend wanted to know, do you like Josh?" She asked. "N-no." I replied, even though I did like him. "Thanks, I guess." She said.
When I got to the lunch room I sat down in my regular spot and a girl handed a flyer to me about prom. Not like I was going anyways. Josh sat next to me and looked at the flyer. "Hey," he said. "You've got a date yet?" "Of course not!" I replied. "You?" I asked. "Nope...." He trailed of at the end there.

At his house when I got there an hour later, someone knocked on the door. "I wasn't expecting anyone.." He said, as we both Walked to the door. When he opened the door the most popular girl in school was there. "I would like to speak with you in private." She said glaring at me. "Ok?" He said.
When I heard the door close I came back down from his room into the living room. "Hey um you didn't want to go to prom with me right?" Josh asked. "Uh if you wanted to go with me-" I was cut off by him. "Ok..because I just got a date." Inside I was screaming but on the outside I just said. "Oh..um..Good for you!" "Wanna watch a movie?" He asked me. "Sure." I said.
