Too Good To Be True

I woke up bloody and bruised, I can't believed I've survived this long. My father was drunk again last night so that meant he would beat me until I was unconscious. Unfortunately this is normal he tries to kill me a lot because I supposedly killed my mom. It started as verbal abuse until he decided just seeing my tears wasn't enough, so he started to beat me black and blue and not only scar me physically but mentally too.

Enough about that, I push myself off the ground and head to the shower. Once I'm in the shower I make sure I get the blood out of my hair and off my body , once that's done I get ready for school making sure to cover up all the bruises by wearing black tracksuit pants and a red long sleeved jumped. I then proceed to throw on my old, worn out, black converse and grab my school bag while avoiding my father as I rush to school.

Once I arrived I am immediately shoved into the lockers which line the halls. I yelp since I hit a few of my bruises off the locker, as I look up I see the popular crowd led by Jamie wood my own personal bully. "well well what do we have here" taunted Jamie, "looks like a worthless waste of space to me" said one of Jaime's friends. "P-please leave m-me alone" I stuttered. "Looks like this brat doesn't know when to shut u-" Jamie was interrupted by a person I've never seen before .

'Probably a new student' I concluded in my head. As I studied him I realized he was quite handsome with his brown shoulder length hair and green eyes. "leave her alone" the mysterious guy said "And why should we"-Jamie "Because the principal is heading our way and I suggest you and your posse leave before you get into trouble" with that I was saved as they all begrudgingly began to leave.

Before the mysterious guy noticed me I scurried to class not wanting to get in trouble. I hope I don't run into him again mainly because I suspect he did this out of pity for that other crowd who were about to be caught.
