The next day I woke up early, thanks to a phone call call from my neglected best friend Kei.
"What?" I muttered into the phone. He knew I wasn't a morning person.
"What do you mean what? Earth to Mo today is my big soccer game and you promised you wouldn't miss it like the last one! It's no surprise you already forgot though since you've been in lala land this past week with Cavan." He muttered through the phone.
Jumping out of bed I hastily threw on some shorts and a t-shirt.
"One I didn't forget I'm getting dressed now." I lied... I totally forgot. "And two I have not been in lala land. Give me 20 minutes and I'll be there."
After I was dressed I slowly approached my moms room and knocked on the door.
"Come in." She giggled.
"I don't want to come in and see you naked with Phill I was just wondering if you could give me a ride to the school? I'm watching Kei's game today, and I'm like really late." I asked defeated.
"Sorry Hun I'm... We're busy today why don't you get that nice boy Cavan to take you."
"Whatever." I hissed pulling out my phone.
I didn't call Cavan though I called my aunt and unfortunately for me she was at the hospital and too busy with work to take me anywhere, so sadly I resorted to calling the last person whom I knew with a car. He had put his number in my phone when he brought me home. In case I wanted to, "see him again". Did I?
"Hello?" His deep voice rang through the phone, it sounded raspier than usual and confused.
"Um hey it's Mo.." I whispered running out of words to say, because my chest was growing tighter and tighter with nerves.
Why are you so nervous.
He didn't even save your number.
He doesn't like you.
Interrupting my inner demons Cavan broke the silence, "Well hello baby doll what can I help you with today?"
I could actually feel his smirk through the phone.
"I need a ride." I murmured, walking over to our living room and sitting on our floral printed beige colored couch. My mom had horrible taste in upholstery. I looked over at her purse on the hook by the door. I smirked. "I've got gas money."
"Say no more baby doll I'll be there in 15."

"You know if I had of known you needed me to drive you to your boyfriends soccer match, I would have called you a cab." Cavan frowned as he pulled into the parking lot of our schools soccer field.
"Oh quit your moaning." I smirked hopping out of the vehicle and heading to the stands, Cavan following angrily in toe.
Making it to the field I smiled once I saw my best friend in his bright green, white and black uniform. He smiled too once he saw me and began to wave as he ran over.
"You came!" He yelled hugging me, like he hadn't seen me in decades.
"Of course I came! I heard the team from Wellington High are hot." I joked and he ruffled my hair.
"Yeah yeah, stop lying no one's ass looks better than mine in these shorts."
"Touché," I laughed. "Hey but you told me the game started at 1?" I questioned noticing that the two teams were still only warming up.
"I knew you'd forget and show up late so I told you to come an hour early. I'm really a genius." He beamed.
"More like a pathological liar." I retorted as we proceeded to walk over to the thin metal bleachers.
