I opened my eyes and sat up from the military cot, the noon sun bearing down on me. I sat up listening to the silence. I had a sickening feeling dawn upon me because of the silence. I looked all over for the people whom I held close to my heart. My brothers have been stolen and I needed to find them so they can return home to their families.
I marched down a a rocky path in search of my lost friends, I carried hope on my shoulders and love in my heart. I was determined to find them. My friends have been captured by the enemy, I was willing to do whatever it took to get them back and win this war. The purple evening sky reminded me of who I'm doing this for. My instincts kicked in and I followed where my conscience told me. It lead me to a tall electric barb-wire fence. I crawled under with no hesitation, I was very determined to get my friends back.
The night began to fall and the clouded night made my inner ninja come out. I found a door way to what looked like a bunker, I sniped a enemy from afar being sure to hit the back of his neck. I got him! he fell to the ground and died instantly, I smiled at my success and as the other one bent over to examine his dead buddy, I shot him to. This one shot him straight through the chest, I pulled the trigger once more to make sure that he didn't attract any attention to the other guards. I got him in the head this time, I had to make sure I wasn't being to proud. I was surprised that the other guards didn't come to find me considering that I just killed two of their men.
I tossed my gun on my back and crouched in the dusty sand, at the wrong time the wind started to blow and sand blew into my eyes. I ignored that and trudged forward to the opening of the bunker. I slowly arrived at my destination and slipped into the door. I looked up at my surroundings, I thanked god that nobody was in there and ran down the stairs. My sandy pony tail bouncing with every step that I took. I got to the bottom of the stairs and looked around to see the inside of the bunkers. I saw prison like bars and human hands firmly grasped onto the rusted iron bars. I looked behind me to check if I had been followed, luckily I wasn't. I ran over to them and greeted my friends with a smiling face. I searched the room for the keys, sand escaping my body with every step that I took. I eventually found the old wore down keys and slammed them into the lock. I heard gun shots coming from above and the ground began to shake, America was winning! I rescued all of my team mates and rushed to the surface for the battle. I dragged out my AK-47 and slid my index finger onto the trigger, I saw enemies darting in front of my gun as I put pressure on the trigger of the death machine. The massacre had begun.
Everything seemed to play in slow motion as I dogged bullets to keep me from getting shot. I called everybody over to me just before a bomb was dropped on the enemy. I felt pretty great about myself. I held everyone down so that I could get a better view of the crime scene. The sand fell to the ground gracefully, The place was pitch black but I still managed to see the mess we created. I saw a black shadow and assumed that it was the sniper for the enemy. As the figured moved closer the height decreased and pointed a desert eagle at me. I assumed my position and shot. When the body hit the ground I walked cautiously over to it and removed the face wrap.
I dropped everything I had and fell to the ground, tears forming in my eyes. The figure whom I had just killed was my daughter, my sweet baby girl. I mourned at the bloody sight of the round crimson hole in her head. I wailed and picked up her gun. I looked back to my brothers and bid them farewell, but by the time they had tried to stop me......it was too late.
I jumped out of my bed with damp checks, I took a deep breath and removed my blankets and grabbed my phone. I softly pressed the button on top and checked the date and time, December 25, 2013 9:00 am. I realized that the whole thing was just a nightmare and shook it off. I dragged to the kitchen to make my baby girl some special Christmas pancakes and some coffee. After all was done and made she stepped into the living room to start our cheerful Christmas activities. We opened the presents we got for each other and snapped pictures, I wanted to cherish every moment I spent with her. She didn't have long left to live
...........she was dying with an un-curable cancer..........
