Finally Part 1 (Lucaya)

Chapter 32

A/N: Get ready guys, this will be the longest chapter in this book. Some great parts, some sad. I worked super hard on this chapter for you guys so I hope you like it!

Riley's POV

I was really excited to see Maya, Farkle and Lucas. It would be the first time we've all gotten to hang out since the last day of school. Maya and Lucas were a little late as I expected. Lucas came through the front door without Maya which I thought was strange. He nodded his head at me and I got what he was saying. I walked to my room and shut the door behind me and I turn around and see Maya crawling through the window like she always has and just sat there.

"Bay window time?" I smiled at her.
"Bay window time." Maya cracked a smile at me.

I walked over to the bay window and sat down and hugged her.

"I missed you peaches!" I  got excited.
"I missed you too sweetie." She looked down at her hands like she was nervous.
"Everything will be okay Maya." I tried reassuring her and put my hand on her hands.
"Riles it's just been weird with him making random unannounced stops." She rested her head on my shoulder and sighed.
"I know. I don't think it's right, but you have Lucas here to protect you from anything uncomfortable, you have me and Farkle too." I reminded her.
"I know, I'm just not mentally prepared for the drama that's bound to happen tonight." She looked so broken when she said that.
"Everything will be okay peaches." I grabbed her hand and she wiped her tears off and we walked into the living room..

Maya's POV

The nerves took over my body as soon as Riley and I stepped into the Matthews living room. I could feel everyone's eyes on me. It was like I committed murder or something. Then everyone smiled and said hi. I walked over to Lucas so I could feel normal instead of broken.

"Hi cowboy." I smiled at him.
"Howdy, how are you doing?" He asked in a subtle way to make it less obvious.
"I'm okay, just really nerve wrecked right now." I whispered making sure no one was in ear shot.
"You're doing great Maya, I'll be by your side the whole time." He smiled at me.
"I love you Lucas, more then anything." I was getting emotional again. He just smiled at me.

I told Lucas I would be okay for a moment while I go talk to Mrs. Matthews.

"Hi Mrs Matthews." I smiled at her.
"Hi Maya, I'm glad you decided to come." She genuinely seemed happy.
"Yeah, me too." I said nervously.
"Are you going to talk to him?" I should have seen this question coming, but I'll just play dumb.
"Talk to who?" I smirked at her.
"Maya, don't play dumb, you know who I'm talking about." Her eyes flickered to Shawn.
"Do I have to?" I said in an annoyed voice.
"That's up to you, but I won't force you because I can't tell you what to do." She sighed at me.
"Fine I'll talk to him since it will make everyone happy and everyone stops staring at me like I killed someone." I rose my voice a bit because I was getting slightly irritated.

I walked away before she could respond because I instantly regretted yelling at her after everything she's helped me with and she's just trying to help me now. I stomped over to Shawn who was sitting by himself at the living room bay window.

Meanwhile I could see Lucas glaring at Shawn and I nodded at him telling him it was okay.

"You and I need to talk." The nerves were back.
"Okay." He looked at me with a serious face.
"Outside?" I asked him because I didn't want to do this in front of everyone.
