"I don't like the way Severus looks at you", Haley said suddenly, while on the train to Hogwarts for their second year.
Emma looked up from her book," He may have been creepy the first few weeks, and he may have called me Lily more than once, but I like potions. And besides, we both know very well who I'm into", she winked.
Haley faked a gasp and placed a hand on her chest," Oh dear gracious! Could it possibly be..... Fred Weasley?"
Emma blushed a little but rolled her eyes," I do not fancy him Haley! How many times do I have to tell you? We just-"
"Share a special bond? Yeah I thought so too!", Said George opening to door to let himself in.
Haley's eyes widened," It's Fred!"
"For the love of Merlin Haley! I'm George!"
"You say that but how am I supposed to be sure?"
"Well for one, I'm better looking!"
"Oh please you're about as good looking as Fang is, and might I add, Fang is way cuter!"
"Why are so you mean child! Let me live up to the standards!"
"Of who? Your brother Percy?"
"HEY!", Yelled Percy, who passed by the compartment.
Chuckling to herself, Emma continued on to her book, but she couldn't quite focus. Harry James Potter was on the train with her.
She had debated on whether she should look for him or not, but she decided not to, as the train was rather big it would steal the magic of being an absolute nutter of a first year.
Not knowing how to work magic had been an adventure for Emma, and she was beginning to love it.
Unlike her best friend Haley, she loved potions, but Haley begged to differ. Professor Snape would cut points off Griffyndor for no real reason and she hated it.
But Emma chose to see the good in the man. It was obvious that she looked very much like her mother, despite her eyes, and Snape picked up on that, from the minute she stepped into the Great Hall.
Emma was oblivious to the fact that Snape was actually nice to her, if not bearable. But she shrugged it off, thinking it was just because she was good at potions.
While the two were bickering like an old married couple, Emma intervened," Haley what about your brother? Seamus?"
Haley snorted," I led him onto the train and left, I want no trouble with that boy, he's worse than me!"
George stifled a laugh," In what way?"
"Well for instance, last year, he managed to set our Aunt Amy on fire, and the poor lad didn't even have a wand on him! Just hugged the woman and the next thing we see is fire!"
Emma and George laughed.
"What about Fred? Where is he?", Inquired Emma.
"Funny you should ask", he stated raising an eyebrow. " But last I saw him, he was wooing Brianna Thomas from Ravenclaw."
She felt an unexpected pang, and to that, the girls eyes widened.
Seeing her best friend a little startled, she asked George," Since when has he been into smarter people than him?"
"I have no clue, seems like he really likes her", he replied, peering over to Emma, who had disappeared back into her book.
Haley gave him a look, and he nodded.
