Half time was called and dad came up to our box.
"Pambrielle," He gave her a look and she stood up. She looked scared. "Elle, there's something we need to talk about. You three come too." Giselle, Ellery and I gave each other a look before getting up and following. We ignored reporters and locked ourselves in the small room next to the locker room.
"Alexavery, we don't need to do this." Pambrielle said in a startled tone, like she was trying to calm him down.
"Yes we do. This isn't okay anymore. It's too hard on you." He insisted. I started getting suspicious. Apparently mom was too.
"What exactly is going on?" She demanded and gave the two a threatening look. If this was about an affair, which I hope to Merlin it's not, then why do the three of us have to be here?
"I'm so sorry, Elle." Pambrielle said critically and covered her mouth, already choking back tears. I shot Ellery a worried look and he shook his head, setting his jaw angrily. I realized then that this was going to cause serious problems. Whatever was going on was going to change everything. I passed the message to Giselle with my eyes. She understood.
"It's alright Bree." Dad assured her and rested a comforting hand on her shoulder. She only shook her head and took a few deep breaths. When she was composed and showing her whole face again dad continued.
"Fifteen years ago Ellery, Aryielle, and Giselle were born and on the same night Pambrielle lost her triplets not long after they were born." I hadn't known this. "That isn't true." Then why say it?
"What do you mean it isn't true? Of course, it's true!" Mom shouted, looking like she was about to explode.
"Elle, would you just let me explain?" Dad continued, looking wearier than he had before. She shut up. "It was the other way around. Elle, our triplets were still born and Pambrielle's were perfectly healthy. She was going to have to raise them alone and she was scared. She told the doctors to give them to you because you could bring them up right." Everyone in the room stopped breathing.
"What kind of sick joke is this?" Mom...Elle, hissed at dad...I think, with her eyes narrowed to dark slits.
"It isn't a joke." Pambrielle responded shakily. "I'm sorry, I really am. I never meant for it to happen. Alexavery was always yours. That night in our seventh year after Slytherin beat Gryffindor in November and you were sick I hugged him and..." She trailed off and choked on a sob.
