Just passed the dog show I found that dog in a cage. He's for sale for 2,000 dollars! I thought for a second 'how the hell am I going to get 2,000 dollars.'
This past week I've gotten to know my step mother, Mary better. I still don't know her well enough to call her "mom", but she always tells me how much she loves me as her son. I'm glad my father found a good wife but they can barely afford a wedding at the time. I still am to embarrassed to ask my parents about that dog, but I asked my younger brother but the only answer I got was "I hate you."
I just decided to write a letter to my old friend 'Lisa', she always has good opinions about things. Lisa and I sat next to each other in the 3rd grade. I had a little crush on her; by now it's too awkward to date her.
I wrote her:Dear Lisa,
I haven't seen you in a while. I hope your doing well, but I need your opinion on something. I found a dog, a brown dog; my mothers favorite. I was going to buy it, but I can barely afford it because it's 2,000 dollars. I have been to nervous to ask my parents. Should I save up or leave the dog? Talk to you later.
Your good friend,
Jeffery Mason Stanton. She got back to me 3 days later. Lisa said it was a great idea; I started to save up in a jar, 1799 dollars to go. I worked for my neighbors and my school teacher. Everyday they gave me 20 dollars; after I get the money I go and see the dog. He's only 1 year old puppy; I call him my mommy's little puppy. Once I get the puppy I plan on doing something with it; yet again my father hates animals. I'll probably leave the country. That's perfect this dog and I on a journey to a new life. I could make a lot of money with this dog. I could train it and save up some money, then take a ferry or train to the United States. I always hear stuff about that place during school. It's sound like an extraordinary place. My mother always tells me we live on the border of Germany and Poland. I'm still learning where that is on a map, but I can locate where the United States is. The United States, it's just sounds like home, ringing in my ear. I've got to go there someday. They have to have good dog shows; just like here where I live now.
I just finished counting the money I have now. I've got 798 dollars; I've found a nice place in the attic to store this sucker. My parents have no idea; I feel like a bad boy. I'm a bad boy saving up money and not even telling my parents; I haven't even told my younger brother. Where am I going to keep this dog when I buy it?
I'm trying to become friends with some of the owners of the dog show; they say they have extra kennels, if I pay 10 dollars a month. I just need it for one month, because I'll be gone by a month. I'm planning to go to New York; I found a ferry for 350 dollars to take me there. However my first priority is the dog.
