Chapter 19

Callum's POV ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^



Tomorrow, tomorrow is Ryder and I's big date and the last night to have the moms with us. They will be going home Saturday.

"Call, can you run up and grab me three diapers? They shifted back finally." Ry said.

"Sure thing babe, anything else?" I asked.

"Nope I'm good. I think we should just keep diapers on them they have changed six times today." he said sighing.

"Sounds good. I'll bring down extra diapers." I said half way up the stairs. I grabbed a bag of diapers making sure there was another bag of them up in their room still.

"Thanks hon, look guys it's dada." Ry sang to the kids. They all giggled.

We sat and listened to the blab and coo before I had to go to the office and do some work. Ry been trying to put the kids down for a nap before I go to the office and he tries to help me with some of the things we have to do as Alpha's of our pack.

"Sweety, your dad wants that paper work for the new pack members." mom said as I sat down at my desk.

"I have it. I was just getting ready to fax him the papers and some more so please tell him to watch for it." I said dialing his fax number and adding in all the papers I wanted him to have. We can talk telepathically but can't telefax.

"Lunch will be ready in an hour." she said before leaving me to finish my work.

"Hello, I would like to make a reservation for two." I said when someone answered the phone.

"What time would you like to come in?" the lady asked.

"Six." I said.

"Last name?" she asked.

"Lockhart." I said.

"Alpha Lockhart." She stuttered.

"Future Alpha Lockhart." I said making my voice strong.

"Very well, reservations for tomorrow night at six. See you then, Mr. Lockhart." she said. Someone else was standing near here I could hear them walk up in the back ground.

"Thank you." I said hanging up.

"The moms took the pups out to play with my brothers an Jesse." Ry said coming in the office.

"Dinner is at six tomorrow. Dress nice." I said smiling at him.

"Suit nice or nice jeans nice?" he asked turning a little red.

Nice jeans maybe bring a change of clothes for part two of the date." I said winking at him.

"Okay." he said giggling.

He helped me file all the papers I just faxed my dad. And then we filled out some requests for loans, building on to homes and moving in to other homes.

"We need to have a meeting handing over this Alpha position to you and Ryder. I'm ready to spend a week if not more with your mom alone. I miss my mate." My dad snapped in my head.

"Okay, you pick the date and we will be there." I said chuckling.

"Next Saturday, we have a bon fire and I will hand it over." He said sighing before my head was mine again.

"We become Alpha's next weekend." I told Ryder.

"But don't we have to be mated for that?" He asked freaking.

"We could just skip that part for now but not for long baby, my wolf can't take much more and I don't think yours can either." I said sighing.

"I'll let you know by next week." He said and I watched his shoulders slump.

"No pressure babe. I will hold my wolf off until you say. But I know yours is close. I am hoping that your learning to trust me and I know you love me but love is only part of what make a relationship work." I said hoping he understood.

"Your right I do love you, I am also beginning to believe you. I so want to be with you, you have no idea. My wolf is so wanting to do nothing more then to submit to you. I am almost there hon." He said smiling at me.

"Thank you babe, you have brought me nothing but joy." I told him.

After that it was lunch time and together hand in hand we went and ate lunch with the moms while the pups slept. I loved this time of day.

"So we have been busy making lots of meals for you two. There is enough to last about two weeks by then we should have more." Mia said.

"I can cook you two know that right?" I asked.

"We know but we also know your taking over the pack in a week and that means more work for you two. We have also decided that once every two weeks we will take the kids for the night to give you time to spend with the pack." Momma said.

"Well we only trust you two with them anyways" Ry said.


"I'm glad you do but I'm hoping you can find a nanny or someone that can come help you with them besides us." momma said. I could tell that wasn't sitting well with Ry, our wolves and even me.

"Why?" I asked.

"Well we were hoping to start to enjoy not having kids around all the time." momma said.

"Ewe gross." I almost yelled.

"Well if your mind wasn't in the gutter you wouldn't be thinking like you are. It could mean fishing, camping or even private dinners." She said winking at me.

"Sure momma I'm sure that what you meant." I said shaking my head.

"I'll find a nanny I'm sure there is someone out there that we can deem good enough to watch our kids." Ry said sounding depressed.

"We need someone that is more then good enough." I said.

"I know hon but if it isn't blood I'm not sure we will find anyone I trust 100%." He said. I could tell he was trying to be okay with all of this but I knew he wasn't.

"Hell who knows we may not need a nanny." I said smiling at my mate who light up.

"I like that idea." Ry said.

"I'm sorry boys but once you become Alpha you'll need someone here with the kids." my mom the kill joy said.

"I'm going to try and do it myself." Ry said his voice strong and his shoulder straight.

"Goddess bless you baby boy." Mia said smiling. She looked proud of him.

"Good luck, when you are interviewing for nannies we will help." my mom said with a sad smile. She was pissing me off and there was nothing I could do about it.

"Come in Tillee lets go clean the room and start packing up our stuff." Mia said winking at me.

"I think we can do it babe, it will be hard but we can do it." I said to him as soon as the moms were gone.

"I don't want to fail this. I hate to say this but I want to prove your mom wrong." He said turning and looking me in the eyes.

"So lets do this." I said smiling at him.

"We just need to plan a head a little. I think I know how to do that but I'm going to need to go shopping. Without the kids." he said. We knew he couldn't take them so I wasn't surprised.

"Call and see of Layla wants to go with you. Jesse and Art are your guards today so Jesse and Layla can spend some time together." I said hopefully.

"I'd rather go just Jesse and I." He said making my wolf whimper but we both knew it was okay. I like Jesse and he is one of the five guys I trust with my mate but to hear him say he wants only Jesse it bugs my wolf.

"Okay, let him know what you want to do and I'll get you some money." I said getting up and kissing his forehead.

"Thank you." he said. I'm thinking this was some form of a test in a way.

"Your welcome babe." I said smiling at him before heading for the office. I had added Ryder to my checking account awhile back and his debit card had been sitting in my wallet for ever it seems.

I grabbed his card and about two hundred dollars for him to shop with and made a small list of things I needed like deodorant and new boxers.

"Here babe, this is a debit card that is linked to our joint checking and a joint savings. And this cash is for your wallet. I did make a list of something's I kind of need so if you pick them up for me I would appreciate it big time." I said handing him all the stuff.

"Wow okay thank you and I will make sure I get what you need while I'm out." He said smiling and kissing my cheek.

"Do I have to go shopping?" Jesse whined coming in the door.

"Yes we haven't had a BFFEAE day in for ever. Plus it's for the pups." Ry said pouting.

"Okay, but your feeding me." Jesse said smiling. I could see the brotherly love between them and my wolf was happy about that.

"That's fine by me. We won't be gone long hon. love you." Ry said kissing my lips softly making me want take him here and now. It's a good thing he's leaving.

"You always say it's not going to take long but it does." I heard Jesse whine as the headed for the door.

"You know you whine more then my pups." Ry said.

I was laughing at the two of them. But it didn't last long when I got a text from my dad.

"Wolves council is hear wants to talk to Ami an her mate meet me at the jail."

"Mom." I yelled.

"What?" she asked it looked like she might have been crying. Mia must of yelled at her. Good.

"I have to meet with dad, Ry is with Jesse so can you and Mia watch the pups?" I asked she smirked like she knew something like this would happen.

"Never mind, I'll take them with me." I said shaking my head.

"I've got them go." Mia said making my mom pout.

"Mom we know this is going to be hard but this isn't about whose right or who is wrong. Ry wants to try and I am going to back him up in trying. It could blow up in our faces or we could make it work. You're acting like you want us to fail and I have never seen this part of you. I don't like it." I said honestly hugging her.

"He's taking my baby and I don't like it." she cried.

"Mom I'll always be your baby just like my pups will always be mine. But being mean and disrespectful isn't you so please just be my mom and the pups granny." I said smiling at her.

"I'm sorry and I love all of you. I think I'm just missing your dad." she said sadly.

"I get it. I have to go but I'll be back before Ry if not have him mind link me." I said kissing her cheek.

"By sweety." she said waving as I headed for the woods. I bagged my clothes up and shifted into my huge black wolf. I love letting run it makes me feel whole.

I ran towards the jail hoping I beat my dad and the council there. The council has five members all former Alpha's all emotionless if you ask me. They asked my dad to become part of the council but he said he wasn't ready that he would like to spend some time with mom and to make sure that Ry and I were doing a good job taking care of the pack.

"Future Alpha Callum, you are the first to arrive." The guard said as I shifted back and got dressed.

"Thank you, Miles. I'll wait in the meeting room for them." I said.

"I'll let them know." Miles said.

I walked in and signed into the jails computer and received the keys to the meeting room. The room was huge and would most likely be the room where we held the trial. The prisoners are always brought in with heavy chains and in a cell.

"Callum, this is Councilmen Norris, Councilmen Harley, Councilmen Zeb, Councilmen Salem and Councilmen Ellis. Gentlemen this is my son and our future Alpha Callum he is also the father if the kidnapped baby." my dad said introducing everyone.

"Where were you and your mate when said child was taken?" Councilmen Harley asked.

"We were having dinner with my family. We had just asked Ami to leave after some rude behavior." I said.

"You and Miss. Ami Anderson (I couldn't find anywhere where I gave her a last name so this is it. I'm sorry if it was something else in a different chapter.) were in a long relationship before you found your mate, is that correct?" councilmen Ellis asked.

"Yes we were a really long one. is actually rejected my mate because I was ashamed of myself. I cheated on her with my mate. I was also ashamed that my mate wasn't her and it was in fact a guy. She encouraged me to get my mate back and to be happy. When I moved out of my house and in with my mate she moved into my house." I said.

"So your saying she was okay with you finding your mate." councilmen Salem asked.

Yes sir, she helped me find out where he was, his new number and she wanted to remain friends after everything. I was happy to have her and Ryder in my life. He means the world to me but Ami has been my longest friend. I mean I look back at our relationship and it was basically a friendship with some kissing, hand holding and hugs. We never had sex or went any farther then getting a little handsy." I explained.

"You was a virgin when you mated with your mate?" councilmen Zeb asked.

"Yes, I know that it's hard to believe but I wanted to save myself for my mate. Whoever it was. I'm glad I did because he will be the only one I am ever with." I said proudly.

"Why except your mate now? was it because that one night lead to pups?" councilmen Norris asked.

"No sir, no one compared to him once I found him. And it tore my heart in two when he left. I didn't want to live." I said.

"Do you live with your mate and pups now?" Norris asked.

Yes I do. We have not mated yet and he wants to take it slow but we are together." I said.

"Very well. Let's go see the prisoners." Councilmen Zeb said.

We followed my father down to the elevator and waited for him to enter his code. Once we were all in he selected the lowest level and it started moving. Nobody talked nobody even moved. I was so happy when it stopped and we got off.

"Victor bring the former pack member to interrogation room 1 and her mate send him to two. Make sure they caged and chained." My dad said.

"Yes sir, Alpha Glenn. Vic said.

"This way." dad said unlocking a huge room with a 1 on it.

There was a cage on one side of the room and a table and twelve chairs on the other side. I heard a door open and chains rattle just as Ami walked in. She looked like shit but I didn't care. She took my little girl from me. Made my mate upset an untrusting she destroyed our friendship so I am willing to watch her die a slow painful death.

"Miss. Anderson, you are being charged with kidnapping a future Alpha's pup, treason and causing a war. how do you plead?" councilmen Norris asked.

"I plead insanity, sir." Ami said in a small voice.

"Either way Miss. Anderson death is the punishment." Councilmen Zeb said.

"Yes sir, but with a little more dignity." She said.

"If you can think like that Miss. Anderson then your sane." councilmen Ellis said. Ami frowned.

"So I ask you again Miss. Anderson how do you plead?" councilmen Norris asked.

"Callum. Please I don't want to die have mercy on me!" She started to beg.

"If I could. I would kill you myself. But I am allowing the law to handle this." I spat.

"Miss. Anderson I need and answer." councilmen Norris is in his Alpha tone.

"I plead guilty okay I'm guilty of everything you said." Ami cried.

"We the council hear by sentence you to death for your crimes. You will be executed with in the next 48 hours. You will get to say good bye to your family, have a good meal and then you will be euthanized like a common dog. " Councilmen Ellis said.

"Please no, I beg you please don't do this." Ami cried as Victor pulled her out and took her away.

"Do you need me for the next part?" I asked feeling sick.

"No son go ahead." My dad said. I ran to the nearest bathroom and emptying my lunch into the toilet.

Being in the same room as the person that caused harm to my family made me sick. I couldn't deal. I needed Ry right now just to feel better.
