The Wrong Story But The Right Fact (Genji x Mercy Fanfic)

To Mercy everyday was another day to work and save lives. But yesterday was not that day and neither was today. The sound of beeping coming from her bedside table woke the angel up. She pressed a wrist onto the digital devices top button with minimal effort and rolled over facing the alarm clock. it read 6:00 just about the time she was supposed to get up.

                 "Athena, Lights on." groaned mercy getting out of bed as the interface made the room lit. She looked into the mirror and saw a tired woman with a huge cowlick. 

                "Ugh, I'm going to have to do it on the way to the mission" Mercy groaned feeling the hair that was pointing off the side of her head but then a tad bit of static came from the speakers outside her room.

               "Ok this is on right? oh yes it is. To all agents in the building there is no major problems around the world right now so um do what every you please for today but be ready for any situation that may come up" said a friendly gorilla on the intercom which then clicked off.

                "Well thats awfully convenient" said Mercy. After 30 minutes of getting dressed the support stepped out of her room and began to walk toward the dinning hall.

As she walked into the cafe she saw all the agents that where in the building but luckily most of them all ready got breakfast so she went to the line and got a meal. After a minutes wait she walked over to the tables and looked around for a seat but for some reason a few of her friends kept on looking at her smiling. At first she thought it was just some guys trying to get a look at her ass but that is not something a male agent of overwatch would do.

                 "Hey! Mercy" Called Mei waving over mercy. She smiled at her old friend and walked over to her table and sat down.

                 "Hello Mei I hope  you had a good nights rest up to 8 to 10 hours of sleep" Mercy greeted placing her food tray onto the table and then eating.

                 "Oh Mercy. All ways caring. I honestly don't know how you do it" Mei said smiling at her new breakfast mate.

                "Well I learned that you should all ways be kind because even the worst of people can care so you should too. Besides you should know since your dating who you used to call a bully" Mercy explained smiling at the last sentence also pointing her fork at Mei then taking another bite from her toast. Mei blushed.

                "Well Junkrat may be a little mean but like you I learned that being kind to a bully is there biggest weakness" Mei said smiling and mercy then smiled too. After a minute or two Mei wanted to break the silence and well she did but it was really surprising too mercy.

               "So um mercy how did your date with Genji go?"

               "Mmmh!" Yelled mercy internally choking on a piece of toast she was eating.

               "Oh My! Mercy are you okay?" Mei Asked leaning over to her gasping friend.

The support put a hand up to signafie she would be okay and swallowed the piece of toast then tried to recollected herself.

             "Cough, I'm fine Mei its just why did you ask how my date with Genji went?"

Mei looked at her in confusion but after choking on breakfast Angela must be very confused as well.

             "Well You went on a date with Genji-"

              "No I didn't?" Mercy said in a questioning tone.

             "Oh? Well Tracer said she saw you an-"

             "Tracer? I knew I heard her blinking on are walk" said Mercy Putting a hand to her chin.

             "Well I'm sorry for the misunderstanding" Mei said scared Mercy may cut her off again.

             "No, Its ok. I just got to go find tracer and fix this" Mercy explained calming down a little bit. She was about to get up from her seat to go find the time traveler but before she could.

             "Hello Loves! Watcha talking about" Said the British agent blinking over to there table bouncing around like they just had 2 gallons of coffee.

             "Oh speak of the devil! Tracer its nice to see you but Mercy was just about to go and find you" Mei said welcoming the young woman.

             "Really? What for"

             "The fact that you think me and Genji went on a date" Mercy said crossing her arms but not looking angry or annoyed.

Tracers looked like her eyes just popped out and went back in and she was try to see again she was a tad bit scared but knowing Mercy she pictured her grabbing her ear and dragging her across the H.Q.

            "Well Mercy I'm sorry for spreading the information that you and Genji went on a date but I just could not hold it in" Tracer said jumping up in excitement.

            "Well just calm down for a second because We did not go on a date" 

           "Really?" asked tracer

           "Yes!"

           "Realllllllly?"

          "Yes Realllly!" Said Mercy  getting tried of tracers antics

         "Well thats kind of odd since you like him" 

Mercy's Face then looked like tracers a second ago. She did think of genji as a friend and they had been talking about how she went on a date the for the past 3 minutes But the fact that Tracer said she liked him made her just go blank.

          "Ha! I knew it!" Said tracer pointing at the blank Mercy.

          "Wow Mercy you actully like genji"

          "Well of course everyone knew they  where meant for each other" Tracer said nudging Mei. Mercy then began to blush. Did everyone really think they liked each other.

         "So Mercy will you ask himout love"

         "Um..I don't know! I mean one minute I thought i did not like him but now I do" Mercy said a little stressed about everything that was happening.

         "Well we won't put it on you about what to do but you better decided" Said Mei. And with that they went back to eating breakfast.
